HBO has released a new, extended trailer for this summer's new episodes and it depicts Bill and Eric discussing how to best use Sookie in their fight against the Authority; it gives us a look at Christopher Meloni in the key role of Roman; and it teases a moment between Sookie and Alcide that's both hot and heavy.
There's also talk of a human uprising, as well as the farming of people like animals.

We have to talk about True Blood since creator Alan Ball is from Atlanta. He sure is! I first met him when I did a film called Towelhead, and that was about five years ago. When we were shooting that, we got to be friends, obviously because of the Georgia connection, and we were on set one day and I asked, “What are you doing next?” He said, “I’m actually gonna be doing a vampire show for HBO and I might have something for you.”
I can see you two getting together and dishing about the South. I think being southern was just one way for us to connect. But yeah, there’s definitely a shorthand there.
You’re probably best known as Arlene Fowler, the redhead, but you’re also a redhead in real life now. It was a wig at first because when we shot the pilot, I was a blonde in another film, so I couldn’t change it. The character in the book is a redhead, so I wanted to keep her that way. Each season of True Blood is like two weeks, so there was literally no time for the character to have cut her hair or anything. Once we got to season four, there was a bit of a break in the timeline, so everybody took that opportunity to change their looks up. I wanted to get rid of the wig and use my own hair.

Last season we watched 1,000-year-old Eric Northman, the local Viking vampire Sheriff of Bon Temps tackle and devour Sookie’s fairy godmother Claudine.
Well, coming up, we’ll meet Claudette, played by actress Carmilla Luddington, who is Claudine’s sister. Claudette is less frightening than Queen Mab, that’s for sure, and she will not only help Sookie, but also will help Jason, who from the clip of the season teaser “True Blood” released last week before the premiere of “Game of Thrones,” we know he’s going to need help to survive the season as well. Claudette’s mission is to help Sookie become a better fairy! She will be tested this season, and her fairy god-aunt will be there by her side.
Also, this season our “True Blood” set-side source says, “We’ve seen different types of vampires. We’ve seen those like Bill, who still have some semblance of humanity left in them, we’ve seen uncaring bitches like Pam and Eric, not that Eric’s anyone’s bitch. Just that they seem to be very narcissistic and their mission is self-gratification. We’ve seen powerful ancient demonic-like vampires like Russell Edgington, King of Mississippi, and drama queens like the late Queen Sophie-Anne of Louisiana. But this season (5), you will see a new vampire emerge. So far, it’s just been one upcoming episode, but it seems to be really fascinating to Alan and the other writers, this one, quite powerful, dangerous, but not in the same ways that the current or previous vampires have been.” When pressed, if this vampire will have some sort of superpowers, the source said, “I’m not losing my head to King Alan (Ball). You’ll just have to wait.’

On why he chose to do Battleship: “I read the script, it’s big, epic, fun, a really cool story, but I care more about the brothers, the relationship than the explosions. The process of making the movie, that’s what’s fun as an actor obviously, and this is my first big studio movie, so I didn’t really know. I heard stories from other actors on other movies where sometimes they feel that they are being micromanaged and there’s no creative freedom, they can’t really have fun with it. [But] Pete Berg, who is an actor himself, is very open.”
On adjusting to life in Los Angeles: “In Stockholm, all my friends live within five blocks of each other, we wouldn’t even have to call each other, I would just go down to the local coffee shop and I would run into friends and see them. In L.A. that doesn’t really
On how his father Stellan Skarsgard taught him to keep his life private: “He was always very protective of the family, and us kids and he could be very open and talk about his work and himself and his characters, but you wouldn’t see like 25 house tours or ‘Welcome to the Skarsgard family and this is my home, what’s in my fridge’. First of all, in case you haven't heard, True Blood's new season starts on June 10, so mark it on your Alexander Skarsgård-themed calendars. As for that to expect, we've met all different kinds of vampires in four seasons of True Blood, but in the new season T.B. will introduce us to a type of vamp we've never met before. We can't reveal more than that, but we can tell you that this character is described as strong and cocky, and they'll be around for more than one episode. Most likely from this casting call we got earlier in the week- Elijah-Male Caucasian in his 20s to 40s, a very strong, cocky Marilyn Mansons-esque vampire, 2 episodes, Guest Star. I hope this guy can bring the sexy, cocky Claude to life. His role on The Good Wife was so tiny I can't say if he can, from JustJared (more pics at link)

That flashback sequence also features a young Debbie, so my guess is we’ll probably see how that toxic relationship of theirs took shape. Speaking of TB, the show is also casting a Marilyn Manson-esque vampire who was once powerful and heroic but is now a sad old man.

Patrick (or another vet) knocking out Terry, then Terry looks like he is in a trance or night terror when Arlene sees him. Is Sookie and Co. burying a body (Debbie?) that close to her house? Who is in the hoody, ok I can see it's Lafayette by his clothing in a screencap at Skarsgardsfans. Is that Pam at Sookie's? Is that why the "are we sure about this" looks between Sookie and Lala? Eric sucking face with his vamp sis, she must be helping B&E. Oh Nate! Is that you dragging a body to leave for someone, like a certain king who werewolves had allegiance to? Carolyn will be portraying a Vampire Authority member named Rosalyn Harris, in “True Blood’s” upcoming season 5,and did she ever dish quite a bit, and really good teasers, as Carolyn is known for. She knows just how much to give to get our attention, then the beauty pulls back! She is a consummate professional and fan favorite, for good reason! Firstly, the beauty revealed that there is a battle brewing between vampires who want to go mainstream in the world, and those that don’t. “The Authority members are purely for mainstreaming. We want to be taken seriously. We want to be accepted into this world. We want to be able to live with humans, who outnumber us. That will ensure our survival. There are two differing factions. Are we going to be able to coexist? That is really what this is all about.” Guess which side our Pam is on? Yes, she’s also going to be involved in this battle as well. Look for beautiful Pam to have a say, in a very tricky way! The next thing Carolyn revealed is about her own character. Rosalyn, the character doesn’t have any romantic entanglements. However, she does have a crush on someone we all know and love. Two hints! He’s a vampire! So, what did you think, it’d be Jason Stackhouse? No, that’s just white trash from Bon Temps, were-panthers and Truebies! Lastly, beautiful actress Hennessey revealed that, “there is a real push for mainstreaming. A real push. And then what ultimately results from that tremendous push.” Ok, you think we get the point yet? Leave it to Carolyn to emphasize the positive of things! She is positively the most divine actress, and leading lady!A set-side source tells Highlight Hollywood, “Alan [Ball] loves working with your pal Carolyn Hennessey. She will most likely end up in more than the seven episodes she’s already shot.” Well, it’s too damn bad “True Blood’ is only limited to so few episodes each season. Truebies can’t get enough of the show. The source also added, “Tommy, there are big changes coming, and someone is coming back that you won’t be able to guess who either. It’s a big secret, they plan on filming 2 days next week an even more “Closed” set than normal. It will mean big trouble for Sookie, Eric and Bill!”
