Lala gets a new LaLover in the final season. From Ausiello-
Question: Do you have any news on the storylines or new characters of True Blood Season 7? —Tom
Ausiello: Lafayette’s getting a new boyfriend — and a serious one at that. After spending much of Season 6 in the shadows, Nelsan Ellis will sashay back to the forefront in True Blood‘s final season — with a little help from Drake. Described as a cross between Jim Morrison and James Dean, this brooding and insanely good-looking vamp is a compassionate protector with a poet’s edge. The series-regular role calls for a twentysomething actor who is comfortable performing in simulated (and near-naked) sex scenes with another man in front of the director, assistant director, stage manager, script supervisor, camera operator, first assistant camera, second assistant camera, boom operator, production sound mixer, key grip, best boy grip, gaffer, lighting technician, makeup artist, hairdresser, costume designer, a half-dozen production assistants and Sally with craft services (who shouldn’t be peeking in but probably will be).
TVLine's news- True Blood‘s upcoming seventh and final season has already claimed its first victim. Luke Grimes, who joined the HBO hit in Season 6 as Jessica’s (Deborah Ann Woll) brooding, soulful vamp-camp lover James, has unexpectedly left the series, TVLine has learned exclusively.
When reached for comment, an HBO spokesperson confirmed Grimes’ exit, saying, “The role of James is being recast due to the creative direction of the character.”
Grimes’ rep declined to comment, but a source close to the Brothers & Sisters alum tells TVLine that the actor asked to be let out of his contract after he learned what producers had in store for James in Season 7. “He initially joined the show because he wanted to work with [his Forever co-star] Deborah Ann Woll,” says the insider. “But when he started reading the scripts for Season 7, he was disappointed to learn that they were going in a completely different direction with James.”
Gonna take a stab that Lafayette's new beau is James, the description of him is the sames as James/Wes original casting call.

The Morrocan set is where we are surmising Eric makes his re-appearance with Frenchie GF Sylvie.
TVLine has learned exclusively that Bunheads barkeep Nathan Parsons will step into the series-regular role previously played by Luke Grimes when the HBO hit returns with its seventh and final season this summer.
As we reported last month, Grimes asked to be released from his True Blood contract due to the creative direction of his brooding, soulful, vampire character.
“He initially joined the show because he wanted to work with [his Forever co-star] Deborah Ann Woll,” explained a source close to the actor. “But when he started reading the scripts for Season 7, he was disappointed to learn that they were going in a completely different direction with James.”
According to a True Blood insider, James will find himself at the center of a surprising love triangle in Season 7. EDIT, as I posted previously Jamsie sounds like Lala's new man, I don't think Jess will go for that and drama will follow or maybe she will be happy for them. The actor is good, I've seen him on GH and he can go for laughs too. He was Holly and Luke's son.
Ausiello: Is there life after love for poor widow Arlene? My guess is mmmhmmm after reading a new Season 7 breakdown for the recurring role of Keith, a romantic vampire who moonlights (get it?) as a drummer in James’ (Luke Grimes/Nathan Parsons) band and who takes an instant liking to a certain grieving waitress. Now I have a Q for you, Jenna — did we know that NuJames had a band?!?!
From TVLine- Any news on the new villains/Big Bad of True Blood Season 7? —Tom
Who needs a new Big Bad when you’ve still got Anna Camp’s Sarah Newlin hanging around wreaking havoc at every turn? And in the show’s seventh and final season, we’ll be introduced to the vampire exterminator’s Texas socialite parents and angry, bitter, gothed-out sister. (Fun fact: Sarah’s spot-on maiden name? Crabtree!) While mom and dad will appear in just one episode, Sarah’s sis, Amber, will be staying put for an arc — an extremely juicy, twisty, this-will-explain-a-lot-about-why-Sarah-is-the-way-she-is arc.
Have to admit, I could care less about a new character, no matter who's sister they are, we;;, maybe Pam's. Pam anything is always bueno.
From Riley Smith's website- EXCLUSIVE: True Blood is adding a new vampire for its seventh and final season. Riley Smith (90210) is set for a major recurring role. He will play Keith, a sexy, rock ‘n’ roll vampire with a romantic side. A drummer in James’ (Nathan Parson) band, he becomes smitten with Arlene (Carrie Preston) on first sight. Smith, repped by Gersh and Sanders/Armstrong/Caserta, is a regular in Lifetime’s original movie/backdoor pilot Deliverance Creek from Nicholas Sparks Productions. The film has no airdate yet but is expected to premiere later this year, with the project still in series contention as backdoor pilot.

Ol' Spoilerchat has a spoiler that spoiler lovers knew from the first casting call a while back- Anything to share on the final season of True Blood?Prepare for one last flashback as we'll revisit Bill as a human when the HBO vampy drama goes back to 1862. Expect to see Bill clash with some others over his thoughts on the war.“He initially joined the show because he wanted to work with [his Forever co-star] Deborah Ann Woll,” explained a source close to the actor. “But when he started reading the scripts for Season 7, he was disappointed to learn that they were going in a completely different direction with James.”

And-
Trevor: I need some True Blood scoop now, so gimme those bloody spoilers please. You all know Sarah Newlin, the vivacious blonde, played by the incredible Anna Camp, who will do whatever it takes to eliminate the vamps of the world. Well get ready fang bangers, because we're going to be meeting the Sarah's entire family! Introducing, Amber Crabtree, Sarah's angry and bitter gothed-out sister, Nancy, Sarah's socialite mother, and Paul, the patriarch of the Crabtree family who is a dead ringer for Dr. Phil. It's going to be quite the dysfunctional family reunion…
From Spoilerchat-
Dev: Give me something to sink my teeth into on True Blood, please?
Have you heard about Arlene's new vampire "friend"? "I haven't met Riley Smith yet, but he is certainly very talented and I'm really looking forward to working with him and seeing what the writers do with that storyline," Carrie Preston told us. The vamp may be enamored with her, but will Arlene fall under his spell? "We do know that Arlene has not been the most open-minded person throughout the series, so I myself am curious to see how open she lets her mind go."
From TVLine-Question: Will we meet any new villains during True Blood‘s final season? —TomAusiello: Funny you should ask. Last week, the show put out a casting call for the cryptic-sounding menace, “The Figure.” He’s described as “scary, hulking, ugly, mean and crafty… like Leatherface or Jason Voorhees, but this guy talks.” Curiously, this Figure dude will appear in the season premiere — an episode that (presumably) finished shooting more than two months ago.
From EOnline, more new characters- You guys have been holding back on us True Blood fans. Spill it!
We're sorry, we didn't know there were any True Blood fans still out there... (We kid, we kid!) When the blood-thirsty HBO series returns this summer, brace yourselves for a whole new mess of baddies and troublemakers. One of our favorites is Mr. Gus--he's a Japan native who has fully embraced the "everything's bigger in Texas" way of living. The only thing bigger than his lavish, southern lifestyle? His quest for revenge, and trust us when we tell you, you do not want to cross him.
looks like this is how they make day filming nightime on the show.
More pics from Skarsgardfans at filming at the Bellefleur home, thanks as always (the last 3 years) and visit her site for more.
TEASER!!!
HBO's spring preview not much but we can still speculate.
Cap from Skarsgardfans shows Pam skulking around what looks like the Morrocan set (the restaurant), she is on Eric's trail (tail?)!
Urno insisted on doing this hep V version of Paul Rae onset, yes alcohol was involved so I didnt argue.
This "Figure" creature (they did reshoots for E1 to include him) seems to be a vamp with HepV, maybe the leader of the infected ones, he turns up at the Bellefleur mansion since there are fan photos with him in full makeup and he looks like he just ate someone judging by the blood dripping from his mouth. I hope Andy's last Fae daughter is ok.
From Kristin's Spoilerchat-
Andrea: I'm going to not make a bad vampire pun in hopes of you answering me this: What the heck is going on with Bill Compton? Last season on True Blood he was so … yeah. We're going back in time to meet Bill's parents, William Compton Sr. and Margaret Compton in 1855. We'lll also see Caroline Compton (Shannon Lucio) give birth to one of Bill's kids in the 1850s. And in the present, get ready to meet Brigette, a smokin' hot…microbiologist.
Film Crew LA @filmcrewLA 'True Blood' filmed huge scenes last two days at the Skirball Center @Skirball_LA http://www.skirball.org.
Wondering why they'd film there, maybe for the Dallas scenes?
Ausiello's spoiler, more on Mr. Gus-
Question: Do you know if we’re going to meet any of the beloved but sadly departed characters of the past on True Blood‘s final season? If not, do you have any other scoops? —Kenn
Ausiello: No word yet on any Nights of the Living Dead, but I can tell you that we’re getting what sounds like a new Big Bad in Mr. Gus. Though he’s a Japanese businessman, he’s apparently been so Americanized that he’d make J.R. Ewing seem Asian. (By which we mean he rocks a 10-gallon hat and speaks with a drawl.) Oh, and thanks to a business back-stab, he’s got a thirst for vengeance that’s described as “infinite.” So, while he’ll appear to be middle-aged, I have a hunch he’s immortal.
Audio at EW- The stars of True Blood are halfway through filming their final season, and according to Amelia Rose Blaire, who plays Willa, it’s already a “jaw-dropper.” While she she’s predictably tight-lipped on what’s to come, she will say Willa comes into her own as a vampire with Tara (Rutina Wesley) as her teacher, and that she’d like Sookie to end up single. (If she had to root for someone, it would be Bill or Eric. Sorry, Alcide.)
pics from the set by David Glenn Swor, whose house is it? Bill's (left), Gran's (Sookie's porch)?
Look out, Bon Temps — there’s about to be a new vampire heartthrob in town, Riley Smith is gearing up to glamour fans with his exciting new role. The actor will take on the part of a sexy, rock 'n' roll vamp by the name of Keith. More at TV Rage but the spoilies are below.
TVRage: What can you tell us about your character?
Riley Smith: I’m playing Keith, who’s the new vampire for the seventh and final season. I’m going to get introduced in Episode 4 and then I’ll be with the show for the remainder of the season. Right now we’re actually filming Episode 5. I’m also going to be Arlene’s love interest, played by Carrie Preston, and I think that’s pretty much all I can talk about at this point.
TVRage: Keith is immediately attracted to Arlene upon seeing her. Can you give any hints as to how the two of you first meet?
Smith: We meet on a mission where the vampires are trying to save some of the cast that are in trouble. That is how Keith and Arlene meet. Keith is saving Arlene from a serious situation and that’s their meet-cute, so to speak. And that’s what kind of brings Keith into that world.
I don’t know how much the audience knows so far about what’s going on, but there’s a big part of the first three episodes of Season 7 that’s leading up to this major thing that occurs in Episode 4 and it’s going to be a big situation. Episode 4 was a huge — I think it was like a 25-day shoot for us. There’s a huge fight and a lot of the main characters are in some serious trouble, so I’m recruited by James [played by Nathan Parsons] to come help and that’s what introduces Arlene and Keith. And that’s how they meet and they create their own relationship, which we’re just now starting to get into.
Aaron Christian Howles and Noah Matthews will return for the final season of True Blood, in a big way, GoodHollywood.com can exclusively confirm. Howles and Matthews play brothers Rocky and Wade Cleary, respectively.
"Our characters are involved in a plot this season." Howles said. Howles also said this is his biggest acting role so far. GoodHollywood.
New Promo, ok now that HBO released a better copy, I want to thank John Smith for the quickness that they caught the vid but am putting up the newnuone.
