What can you tell me about Alcide in the new season of True Blood? — RebeccaADAM: Dude's got a beef with just about everyone. Well, almost everyone. "Alcide doesn't like vampires at all, so you'll definitely see that conflict,"Joe Manganiellosays. "But he doesn't like werewolves [either]. Hedoeslike Sookie." How's that going to sit with Bill and Eric? "His situation gets very complicated very fast," he says.

I think their speculations are spot on. Here's one but they have several at the link above. Poor Eric, he is witch-smacked, he never looked so blanked out.
First Fan Question Answered …
By Gianna Sobol
Will the witches wear pointy hats, have crooked noses and have warts or will they look just like me and you... the average but beautiful Jo?
I talked to Ben Hayes, the writers’ assistant, about this one, because he was in the room when the writers were deciding how to characterize the witches. He said that it was inspired by the characters in the fourth book by Charlaine Harris, but that in bringing Marnie to life, they were trying to create a character that seems real, but slightly "off." The witches in Season 4 all follow that approach and are a range of personalities and looks.
Ben also shared that "as far as the magic goes, there was a good deal of discussion in how to depict it in a visual medium. The writers wanted the magic to suit the stories and nature of the show, but also to meet the needs and opportunities of production. Several different traditions were researched and discussed in order to come up with a unique take on witches, witchcraft and magic in the world of ‘True Blood.’" HBO's Inside True Blood Blog
Pointed hats and warts? OK, I guess the questioner thought that was good to ask, I hope it was tongue in cheek.
Four things from the call sheet to whet your appetites...
A Flashback, could be Jesus's witchy relatives.
Wolf Rehearsal, dancing with wolves? Sorry, but who could pass that up?
Stunt Rehearsal, for Stephen's next racecar flipping? Moving right along, I don't want one hair on the Swede's head mussed, unless it's that nasty wig again.
Exterior Cemetary, we already know that's where the Fairy action is in Bon Temps.
HUGE spoilers for "Dead Reckoning" at True-Blood.Net and a contest to win the book too!
So Debbie Pelt will be back (if you had any doubt about it), I hope her plotline follows the books. I'm not a fan of the character, though I like the actress. Here's a look inside the actor's meeting after they get their scripts they do a table read together before filming.
The Truth About Table Reads... from Brit Morgan
By Gianna Sobol
GS: What is your favorite part about table reads?
BM: I love getting to hear all the actors bring the characters to life. Especially the people I never work with. It may seem like just a table read, but everyone is so talented, it ends up being really funny and entertaining.
GS: Any particularly fond memories?
BM: Hmm... None at the top of my head. I'm usually so nervous, I can barely think straight! I sat next to Kristin Bauer last week and she said, "Gosh, aren't these so nerve-wracking?!" And I just took the biggest sigh of relief, knowing I'm not the only one who gets nervous about them!
GS: Do you have a regular seat?
BM: It seems to change a little every week, but I am always across from Alcide and somewhere near Sookie.
GS: Do you prepare for the reads or just go in blindly?
BM: I do prepare a little. I think I'm still so amazed that I'm on this show and I respect the people I'm working with so much, that I always want to do a good job. I don't do a full on "performance," but I definitely have a strong idea of what I'm going in with. HBO's True Blood Blog
Since we got that big chunk of where the season is going in the production preview, spoilers might dry up for awhile. I'm still checking the usual suspects and coming up empty, I really could care less who ERW screws.
Ooooh Necromancing, spooky stuff! What is that poof on Lafayette's head, a mohawk or a tribute to Little Richard? I havent checked it frame by frame yet but that is Marnie with the deep laugh, I was so hoping it was Russell somehow, someway come back.
Jarett From Popwatch has a bit on this video today also, I like him and his coverage of TB. He's a real fan and not the snooty type of writer who looks down their nose at the show.
'True Blood' sneak peek: The Lyin, The Witch and The Lack of Wardrobe
We've known for months that "True Blood" was viewing their fourth year as The Season of the Witch but until now fans weren't 100 percent sure exactly how these creepy covens would work their magic on Bon Temps.
But thanks to a new behind-the-scenes video, we have learned the one word that promises to set your mind on fire: necromancing. As in, controlling the dead.
That's the word Alan Ball used to sum up season four in this brand new video, which includes lots of new footage. POPWATCH
screencap from Popwatch, you can see Jesus and Lafayette coming towards the circle in the upper center.
I (and anyone else who read the books) figured if Portia Bellfleur was cast for the show, old Bill Compton would be getting busy.
From Wetpaint WillBill Start Dating Around? Stephen Moyer Says He Might!
by Melinda Taub
Don’t worry, True Blood fans: Though Sookie dumped Bill’s traitorous ass in the books and the TV show, the television version will find a way to keep him in Bon Temps.
“I think book fans are going to be very happy,” Stephen Moyer (Bill) told Bullett. “Bill disappears in book four, so we’ve had to invent a reason for him to stick around.”
Given that Sookie’s moving on, will Bill start dating again too?
Maybe that’s just wishful thinking on Stephen’s part though. He says that if he’s not macking, he’s not happy.
“If I’m not sucking face, I’m really bored! Which is why I’m praying that at some point me and Alex [Skarsgard] or Joe [Manganiello] have some kind of crazy threesome. I mean, Season 27, it’s got to happen...”
Wonder who the preview tonight (fingers crossed they don't change it up) will focus on?
UPDATE: No Waiting Sucks, bitter tears were shed by all.
I am opening up the floor for questions! Throw them at me, and I'll pick 5 and do my best to answer. And if I can't, I'll try to find someone who can. Alan's desk isn't that far from mine, and I think I just saw Ryan Kwanten walk by my door...
This is from Vampirechick at Freeblogit, it's actually a retread from a casting call and IMDB but when you need a spoiler fix, this is what we do.
With just a couple of months to go for the season four premiere, more and more news about new characters and season’s spoilers are getting out! Sources have it that three new male characters are being added to the upcoming season (although playing only minor characters) and they will all be making their appearance in episode three, titled “If You Love Me Why Am I Dying?” (Interesting!)
Actor Sam Horrigan who is well known for his work as Spike in Little Giants, Val in the Disney movie Brink and Quentin on the Hit TV show ‘Grace Under Fire’ will now be joining the True Blood team as a fangbanger! His character on the show is described as being really hot (I guess I can see that) but really stupid too! He is one that really enjoys being bitten by vamp chick Pam!
Another actor set to join the True Blood team is Aubrey Deeker. Deecker will join the cast as a new vampire who is caught leering into the camera while feeding on a woman. He of course is desperate to escape the ramifications of his actions later on in the episode.
Deeker was also seen on other TV series such as The Wire IMDBBookies Love True BloodVampire chick Freeblogit.com

True Blood Stars Kristin Bauer and Joe Manganiello Say We'll See Less of Pam?
How I love "True Blood," let me count the ways... 1. Pam 2. Alcide 3. Eric. 4. The vampire King of Louisiana, Russell Edington, for his amazingly endearing wickedness. And although the season four premiere is still too far off for my liking, thankfully, I have a few things to tide me over...like chance encounters with cast members Joe Manganiello and Kristin Bauer at Logo's New Now Next Awards.
In addition to Joe's most excellent revelation regarding the amount of naked Alcide we'll be getting soon, I managed to get a few details from Kristin about what kind of crazy outfits we'll see Pam sporting, as well as where her storyline is headed.
"[My costumes] are so ridiculously amazing that it's wrong," Kristin said. "It's so good. [Costume designer] Audrey Fisher is so unbelievable."
"Yeah you get some cool stuff this season," Joe added.
"I get the coolest stuff," Kristin agreed. "My mind is going through picturing it..."
"[It's] kinda bad ass," Joe continued.
"Totally. It's so remarkable," she said.
When asked what new sides we might see of Pam next season, however, Kristin and Joe became a little more cagey with their answers.
"Ha, ha. I'm censoring [myself]," Joe said.
"Because he knows, right?" Kristin added. "He knows, so..."
"You're going to see a lot of new sides," Joe decided. "You're going to see less of Pam in a way."
"A more raw version of Pam," Kristin agreed. "She's edgy man, she is edgy this year. Last year she was a little sentimental," she explained. "Her challenges made her sentimental and vulnerable. This year her challenges make her go the opposite direction."
I don't know about the rest of you, but I like the sound of this! An edgy, badass Pam AND a lot of naked Alcide? Plus the very strong possibility that Alan Ball is going to follow Charlaine Harris'best storyline ever (SPOILER ALERT: Eric's memory loss, the shower scene, etc.)?? I am IN.
From Eonline's Watch with Kristin, talk about sparse...
L_Vlaho: True Blood!A set spy tells us that True Blood is heading back into the Louisiana wilderness—and it seems that somebody might be going a hunting expedition. Exclusive: True Blood Composer Nathan Barr Sets Tone on Season 4 + New Characters & Premiere Teasers
In this interview, we discuss True Blood Season 4 with series composer Nathan Barr.
Barr has created a style of his own, coming a long way since working as an assistant to living legend Hans Zimmer. He remarks on creating a real-world atmosphere for True Blood, as well as what will be different about the Fairies in Season 4 from fairies you’ve seen in other genres. Barr also discusses changes in Tara’s character that began in Season 3 as well as his favorite supernatural character to compose music for. In regards to Season 4, Barr lets us know that we’ll be in for something very different in the first 10 minutes of the True Blood premiere as well as new characters in the works.
Wetpaint has some bitsies, don't know if they have insider info or speculate like the rest of us. True Blood’s ninth episode this season will be called “Run,” and it sounds like it’ll center around everyone’s favorite metaphor: gay people as vampires.
In this ep we’ll meet Joyce Watney, a college student who founded the “Living Dead Student Alliance” at her school. Which makes us wonder if she bothered to also found the Gay Straight Alliance, which is presumably still necessary. Wetpaint
They also have a gallery of all the new cast members (so far) and this one gave me pause (menopause?).
Randy Wayne (Matt)
You might have seen Randy Wayne on Secret Life of The American Teenager, but he also produced Open House, starring Stepen Moyer and Anna Paquin. So that’s how he nabbed himself a role on True Blood!
Info about Matt remains under lock and key, but we’ll let you know the details asap!
I thought he looks like Ryan a bit, then that led me to thinking (ouch) that Dermot looks like Jason.
Since we might have more fairyland adventures and this role is so mysterious, I am going to say heeeeerrrreees Fairy Uncle Dermot! Guesses are free so why not make one, eventually one might be right.
Check out the whole newbie gallery HERE
True Blood has Nudity? No way, really?
From MTV's Kara Walker at NewNowNext Awards over the weekend-
While the True Blood cast are notoriously tight-lipped about what's in store for their respective characters on the show, there are two things we know for sure about the new season: There will be witches. And plenty of nakedness.
When we caught up with fan favorites Joe Manganiello (who plays werewolf Alcide Herveaux) and Kristin Bauer (vampire Pam De Beaufort) at Logo's New Now Next Awards, we asked how their characters are dealing with the newest supernatural characters to join the fray.
"Witches cause a lot of trouble," Manganiello said.
"Witches, they're mischievous," Bauer added. "Pesky."
"I don't think vampires or werewolves are too fond of witches," Manganiello continued.
"No," Bauer agreed. "There's some shenanigans."
Clearly there is not much the stars can reveal, so we went to an easier topic: How much are people naked in this season? Who is able to keep his/her clothes on?
Bauer perked up at that question, while Manganiello laughed nervously. "Joe? Joe?" Bauer teased, indicating he might be better equipped to answer. A lot naked," Manganiello admitted, implying fans will be seeing a lot more of the husky werewolf this season. "I'll say a lot. A lot. A lot."
And despite the fact that Manganiello seemed a little sheepish about his lack of wardrobe, we mentioned that plenty of fans will be delighted to hear the news.
"Yes, and that's probably why I'm nominated for this award," he said, speaking of Logo honoring him with the Because You're Hot honor. "So, I have my lack of wardrobe to thank."
There's a video of Joe at MTV.com, no denying he is hot naked or dressed.
I hope we'll get a new Waiting Sucks promo tonight since we have the last few weekends. Till then... remember a few months ago there were pics of a group of cottages on fire? They were the same cottages used for exterior shots of the ones that Sam owns, where Arlene lives, the ne'er do well Mickens and so did Dawn (poor Dawn). Well Cinematic Debris has a nice slideshow of photos, many more than we saw previously. Who's the firebug? I would guess a very pissed off Tommy Scrappy Doo, he can't be happy about being shot at with a possible bullet in his booty.
Spoiler Alert! True Blood Season 4 Filming – Sam’s Cottages on fire! Wearing their pajamas, Arlene (Carrie Preston) and Terry (Todd Lowe) flee their burning cottage. The front window Holly’s (Lauren Bowles) cottage exploded as well. Seems like someone has purposefully set fire to Sam’s cottages.

Part 2 of Wetpaint's Chris Bauer Interview-
Only Slightly Spoilery-
He hints that Andy won't tell anyone about Jason's part in the the Eggs killing, it's water under the bridge in the True Blood Universe. I think most of us fans figured as much. He talks about the great chemistry Andy and Jason have, like the good relationship he also has with Ryan. He brings up the great writing for these two and how they keep growing and suprising us. Chris hopes Andy stays human, how on TB being human is becoming exotic, funny but isnt that so true? As the sheriff, Andy will fight crime in Renard Parish, whether witchy or otherwise. Andy fighting witches, throw in Jason and we have comedy gold. He says this about season 4, "Lots of surprises, and some very thoughtful insights into characters we know quite well at this point. The writing is imaginative and unpredictable and funny and moving. I love being on this show".
Totally non-spoilery but very insightful about this cast- What's your favorite on-set memory? We work so much at night. There have been many nights over the last four years where it's been three in the morning and my cast mates and I are crowded around a space heater in the middle of a forest or back lot telling jokes and giggling like we were at a sleepover. Some of the people on the show — Carrie Preston, Sam Trammell — I've known for 10 or 15 years. We started together in New York. It's been really gratifying sharing this with them. Others like Michelle Forbes, Bill Sanderson, have been great company season to season. The people have been the highlight of this experience.

From NY Mag's Vulture Blog's Interview with Jim Parrack- True Blood's fourth season is in the midst of shooting, but Jim Parrack couldn't tell us much when we ran into him at the Dressed to Kilt fashion show last night. "Alan [Ball] just debriefed us last week and said, 'Be very, very careful,' so there's not much that I can say about what actually happens," Parrack explained, but he happily teased, "This is the most shocking season yet. The things that happen with the relationships between people and creatures are so unpredictable and severe, it's wild." Parrack did report that, Detective Andy Bellefleur will be super-buff in the new season, which begins June 26, just in case he's called on to do nude scenes. "Chris came into a table reading a couple weeks ago and he had on his cop uniform, and I stood up and I said, 'I would actually do what this cop says to do,' because Chris's muscles were just popping," Parrack said. "I'm not kidding, he got fit. Chris'll whoop all of our asses now." While he wouldn't confirm whether or not Bauer gets naked on-camera, Parrack's character Hoyt Fortenberry does not have any nude scenes so far. "There are certain people with a certain quality of physique, why not get those people naked instead? And so they do," he explained.

Denis O'Hare Talks Return to 'True Blood' as Vampire King Russell Edgington
By Maria Lewis
Bloody Disgusting's Aussie correspondent Maria Lewis just returned from a weekend of mayhem at the Supernova Pop Culture Expo in Brisbane where she had the chance to talk with "True Blood" star Denis O'Hare, who played the villainous vampire king, Russell Edgington, in the 3rd season of HBO's vampire drama.
With rumors of Edgington's return to Louisiana, O'Hare caught up with BD to talk about the forthcoming season.
Will he? Won't he? Fangbangers wait no longer, as Denis O'Hare has as good as confirmed he will be back for the fourth season of "True Blood.
In an exclusive chat with Bloody Disgusting O'Hare, who played Russell Edginton, vampire king of Mississippi in season three, said it will be "fun to see his story play out."
"All I can say is that Alan Ball said to me 'well, we didn't kill the character off."
"Which is great, because you can come back as a flashback or whatever, but it's better not to.It's better to come back corporally."
"Alan Ball has created a great character in him and the writing is always great for Russell."
"He's not just a villain – he's a being who has an agenda. He's the King."
O'Hare spoke from the Supanova Pop Culture Expo in Brisbane, Australia and said he's taken to the character so much he even signs emails to "True Blood" cast members as 'The King'.
"They write for Russell really well", he said.
"The writing is incredibly beautiful for him and he's such a powerful character it's fun to play as an actor."
"But also because he's charming, funny, deadly, destructive; he's all those things and unlike Eric, who's sexy and bold, Russell's got a different thing going on."
The fourth season of True Blood premieres on June 26 and is set to heavily feature witches, like the fourth novel in the Southern Vampire series upon which True Blood is based. O'Hare said he expected this season to be just as popular as the previous three thanks to the fascinating topic.
"I think when people talk about it being campe and funny, it's actually really incredibly mature in the complexities of its passion," he said.
"The very notion of vampire-human-love can be a metaphor for any sort of forbidden love."
"It's classic, like Romeo and Juliet or Othello and Desdemona, these people who aren't supposed to be together." bloody-disgusting.com
Fiona Shaw is the show's new series regular, playing Marnie. In its casting call, Marnie is described as a palm reader who is not taken seriously until she is possessed by a witch. Aceshowbiz.com
It would seem like the witch is the one laughing at the end of the last Waiting Sucks teaser, why it sounds like a male's laugh (Russell to me) I can't figure out. Just one more thing to talk about while we wait.
By Gianna Sobol
Marnie, one of our new characters this season, is played by the incomparable Fiona Shaw. According to Lauren Bowles, who plays Merlotte's waitress Holly, "If there's one thing Fiona Shaw could never be accused of as an actor, that would be phoning it in. I have seen the woman (on two hours sleep) learn an entire monologue in Latin and perform it with faultless elocution that would have made the Pope proud. She's what you would call a master craftsman. I'm not sure if I want her to be my mother or my mentor or maybe my lover."
Prime TV AD, check out the stakes! I guess they aren't afraid of lawsuits.

One Less Secret
By Gianna Sobol
Word is officially out that True Blood season 4 will premiere on June 26th at 9pm. I just asked Executive Producer Gregg Fienberg all about it and he had this to say: "I found a fan-made poster yesterday, saying the premiere date was June 12th, but the truth is now out! It's not great that you have to wait an additional two weeks, but then it's continuous, with no breaks, which will really keep the momentum of the show going. I know I don't like waiting an extra week between my favorite shows. So it's starting later, but ending at the same time. We're really excited!
Season Four's premiere isnt June 12th, as per HBO's twitter- THIS JUST IN: #TrueBlood Season 4 premieres June 26 at 9/8c, only on HBO.2 minutes ago via HootSuite
Just realized the 26 is my ex's birthday, I'll have to tell him it's his present.
Wetpaint has another exclusive interview, this time with Chris Bauer. I will just pick out some spoilers but suggest you read it at the source, Chris is funny.
As far as a sober Andy goes-One day at a time
We'll meet his sister Portia, Chris says she got the looks in that family.
We'll get peeks into his family life and past. Chris is happy we get to see more dimensions to Andy to humanize him. You have to read what he says to their question if Andy gets a nude scene. Like I said, he is a funny guy. Wetpaint.com
They have part 2 of Kristin Bauer's interview up also, they work hard as a fansite to get these interviews that you should go there to read it all. Again, just posting the spoilery bits-
We won't be seeing a kinder/gentler Pam, she might be even more blood thirsty!
A vamp has to be even more clever in finding ways to rip one's opponents to pieces in the post Russell Edgington world (since he let it all hang out on the newscast humans are scared and calling for their heads).
