Turn, Turn, Turn.

Yesterday's post was full of big spoilers, what with the released Inside the Episode and the Recap videos posted. They sure put me in gear for the premiere tonight! Today we'll take it down a few hundred notches and just post some less spoilery goodies, but you can still check out the post below for the mega spoils.
SUNDAY, JUNE 10, E1, “Turn! Turn! Turn!
Sookie (Anna Paquin) and Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis) struggle with the aftermath of Tara’s (Rutina Wesley) shooting, while also cleaning up after Debbie Pelt. Meanwhile, Bill (Stephen Moyer) and Eric (Alexander SkarsgĂ„rd), cleaning up a mess of their own, are visited by the Vampire Authority, one of whom is Nora (Lucy Griffiths), a woman from Eric’s past. In search of the missing Marcus, Alcide’s (Joe Manganiello) werewolf pack comes after Sam (Sam Trammell). With Bill away, Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll) enjoys her new freedom by partying with local college kids; Jason (Ryan Kwanten) is visited by the recently turned Rev. Steve Newlin (Michael McMillian); Terry’s (Todd Lowe) PTSD is reignited by Patrick Devins (Scott Foley), an old Iraq War buddy; and Alcide turns up at Sookie’s to warn her about the recently resurfaced Russell Edgington (Denis O’Hare).

and a bonus preview-

From Joe's interview for Parade, whole thing at link.
A bigger, badder Alcide
"He's still that good-hearted, dependable guy with great character but he was pushed to his limits last season. You're going to see a more active, stronger version of Alcide. There is some dissension in the pack: there is a group that immediately worships him as thew new pack master since he murdered the former one and there is another group that doesn't think it was right or done in the ritualistic fashion."
The reluctant leader
"Alcide doesn't like werewolves and has never been happy with who he is or being associated with that group. As the season goes on, you'll get to see some scenes from his past that are going to help you understand why he is the way he is. You'll get a glimpse into where it all goes wrong...There is a ritual that has to be performed with the body of a pack master so it's important for them to find the body. It's a really, really shocking ritual."

It’s Makers Day! That means it’s the night of Season 5 of the hit HBO series “True Blood.” And we haven’t talked much about what will happen with Alcide, our hunky resident werewolf and our military veteran, Terry, and his demons will take a very dark turn for the nicest man in Bon Temps. Starting from the first season, we wondered if Terry Bellefleur, played by Todd Lowe would survive the infestation and growing population of vampires. On the eve of Season 5 (the premiere is tonight on HBO), Bellefleur is alive and kicking, and he hasn’t got fangs, at least not yet! And what about Alcide? What’s his fate? And what of Sam?

For actor Christopher Meloni, 2012 is shaping up to be a seriously life-changing year. In addition to debuting as the vampire authority Roman on HBO’s “True Blood,” which returns for its fifth season tonight, the man who became a New York institution as Det. Elliot Stabler on “Law & Order: SVU” is leaving the city altogether.
“We’re leaving New York. I never in a million years thought that would come out of my mouth,” says Meloni, peering out the 60th floor window of his apartment overlooking Central Park — a home that, as he and his wife, Sherman, have decided to sell so that they can “engage life from a different perspective.
Meloni’s life change was helped further when “True Blood” creator Alan Ball approached him about playing Roman. Since the vampire authority is the most powerful vampire in the “True Blood” universe, the role required an actor with an imposing presence.
“We were looking for somebody who would feel really formidable,” Ball says. “We wanted somebody we would be invested in, but at the same time be terrified of.”
Surprisingly, Ball’s interest in Meloni had nothing to do with the actor’s role on “SVU.”
“I didn’t pay that much attention to ‘Law & Order’ because I was always working. I was aware of Chris from before that,” says Ball. “I really liked his work on ‘Oz,’ and in movies I’ve seen him in over the years. On ‘Oz,’ Chris had such a great mixture of brute force and vulnerability. That’s a really potent combination.”
The Washington, DC-born actor did share that Roman, whom Ball characterizes as having “real gravitas and statesmanship” (and who rocks some impressive power suits), will be seen “in a condition of undress” during sex scenes with the ancient vampire/seductress Salome, a new character played by Italian actress Valentina Cervi.
“She’s far sexier than I am, so even if I’m marginally clothed, I don’t think you’ll see anything, because I think the editors are gonna stick with her,” Meloni says. When it’s mentioned that many fans of “True Blood” appreciate the male physique as much as, if not more than, the female form, Meloni responds, “There may be disappointment in the air. All I can tell you is, Salome is pretty hot.”

Parade also talked to Kristin-
Is Pam turning on Eric? "It really feels like she's going through some teen rebellion. The Eric and Pam relationship is very paternal. She rushes to him when he gets his memory back but then she finds Sookie there too. He was putting a human before her and that was the first seed of jealousy. People can do all kinds of things that maybe aren't wise in hindsight because of jealousy. Pam has a code that she lives by and isn't apologetic or conflicted about being a vampire. Her existence is simple because she only cares about Eric. So with Sookie and this season's shenanigans with the authority, Pam will still be acting on that code. The circumstances may cause her to do things that are really crazy. She will do anything for Eric and to have a close relationship with him."
On how will she win Eric back.
"There are so many things that the Authority affects and it wreaks havoc on the structure they have lived by. She tries to compensate, adjust, and survive. Everything she is doing, it may not make sense, but her intention is always to do right by Eric. We really don't know where her integrity is and if she's lying. Even me, I was anxious to see what happens with each script."
On whether Pam finds love.
"I keep hoping. I heard in the books there is a great romance for her and it just sounded like so much fun. It would be very interesting if she ever has a love. I don't think there can be a love like Eric but these writers are so incredible that they could find some situation. This year, they put Pam in a dire situation not of her choosing that she's got to evolve through. I don't even know how it's going to come out since we only see the script we're shooting."
How she describes season 5.

"Last season, Pam was really going to war and was really feral. The year before that, we found out how vulnerable she can be. This year, Pam is on unstable ground. They say 'Everything is at stake' and that's what it feels like. She's like a toddler figuring out how she's going to deal with this situation and grow. I remember years ago I had my horoscope chart done and he said it was a year of growth. I was excited and then I had the most horrendous, brutal year. And I realized, 'ah, growth.' You don't grow in the good times."

OK Houdini, happy now? It worked in rehearsal at Fangtasia.
