Bleeding

So many shows to catch up on, news, so little time,  I will try to post an Hiatus Support blog at least once a week. I'll just keep adding to the new posts all week, so check back Truebs.
Ryan's movie the Right Kind of Wrong at TIFF
An eccentric would-be writer and full-time dishwasher does everything and anything to prove to his skeptical crush that they are meant to be, in this winsome romantic comedy from director Jeremiah Chechik (Benny & Joon).Leo Palomino is supposed to be a writer. Before his wife left him for his best friend, Leo used to be a husband. Now he washes dishes — professionally — and stands by while his ex publicly broadcasts his apparently infinite number of character flaws on a blog called Why You Suck. Leo is closing in on thirty and not exactly feeling at the top of his game. But he's about to meet a woman who might change his life forever — if only she weren't about to marry someone else.
Based on Tim Sandin's Sex and Sunsets, The Right Kind of Wrong is a rather outlandish film that refuses to play by the rules. Leo (True Blood's Ryan Kwanten, also at the Festival in Mystery Road) meets Collette (Sara Canning) on the very day she's to be wed, but matrimonial vows, infuriated in-laws, and even police intervention are not enough to keep him from doing absolutely anything to convince Collette that the two of them are meant to be. Eccentric, stubborn, and at times downright crude, Leo is no one's idea of Mr. Right, but he does possess a certain amount of integrity. He's also a genuine dreamer, and the peculiar magic he finds in everyday life spills over into the world of this winsome film.
Blending romantic comedy with flights of magic realism, The Right Kind of Wrong is all kinds of right. Helmed by veteran director Jeremiah Chechik and featuring a terrific supporting cast that includes beloved comedy icon Catherine O'Hara — not to mention two lovable cats, a ghost bear, and Banff's amazing picture-postcard scenery — this is a fun ride through the wilder side of love.Thursday, September 12, Roy Thomson Hall, 6:30 PM Friday, September 13, Scotiabank 14, 12:15 PM

EXCLUSIVE: Ryan Kwanten, Tom Hopper, Charlie Murphy and 2013 Screen Star of Tomorrow Ed Skrein (GoT's Darrio from last season)have joined the cast of Northmen – A Viking Saga, which starts principal photography on Sept 9. Source
The film will shoot for eight weeks primarily in South Africa, with some additional shooting in Germany. Claudio Fah directs the epic adventure. The previously announced cast includes Ken Duken, Anatole Taubman and James Norton (who is also a 2013 Screen Star of Tomorrow).Matthias Bauer and Bastian Zach wrote the script, about Viking marauders trapped in enemy territory in Scotland.
Dietrich said: “Northmen – A Viking Saga is a film that is close to all of our hearts. It tells a timeless story of courage, camaraderie and adventure, with exciting historical roots that have stimulated significant, and ever increasing, interest in the last few years. This is an epic and ambitious project but we could not feel more confident about the cast and crew that has come together to bring the story to life.”James Norrie, Head of International at The Salt Company, added “It’s been a joy to see the way Ascot Elite have put this film together. From cast to budget, script, location to action and FX, they’ve created a seriously classy package but with a focussed and experienced eye on giving the target audience all they could possibly want from a Viking action-chase movie including great characters and ambitious battle scenes. I can’t wait.”
Fäh, whose credits include Sniper: Reloaded and Hollow Man 2, said: “The momentum that has been put behind this film is truly energising. It is a dynamic collaboration and this is further illustrated by the cast that is now in place. We have a remarkable group of actors of both established and emerging talent and I cannot wait to start our shoot.” Wheeeeee!
full contente d'avoir croisée le frère à Sookie Stackhouse Holy Hell, Ryan's in Canada for TIFF his hair is not, maybe for The Northmen but the mustache is off for a Viking? He has 2 movies at TIFF if you remember, Mystery Road as well.
Thanks to Annie for this. Variety ‏@Variety Director & stars of "Mystery Road" stopped by, including @Ryan_Kwanten of @TrueBloodHBO #VarietyStudio @HoltRenfrew
‘True Blood’ star Ryan Kwanten talks career change from the Ottawa Sun.
Ryan Kwanten -- a.k.a. True Blood heartthrob Jason Stackhouse -- is currently almost without hair and hence almost unrecognizable. The buzz cut is for his role as a Christian monk in a Viking battle epic he's currently filming. It's a far cry from his cute-but-scruffy look as the determined Leo in The Right Kind of Wrong, a subversive little romantic comedy from director Jeremiah Chechik.

From the Walking with the Wounded blogWe arrived in Malibu at a beautiful horse ranch, owned by Inge’s friend Klaus. It was at this ranch we met for the first time the newest, and final, addition to WWTW Team US; actor Alexander Skarsgard. What a great complement to our team! I am even more confident that we have a winning combination now.
That morning we all sat for breakfast and then embarked on a four hour hike up some California switchbacks. Alex immediately connected with each and every member on the team during the hike. Thanks to Inge Solheim for added pics as well.
