Soul of Fire Recaps, Hosted by Lafayette's Caftan

Rollingstone's Showdown at the Moon Goddess Emporium, whole recap at the link.
The residents of Bon Temps are pissed off in "Soul of Fire," Season Four's penultimate episode. Be they vampire, witch, werewolf, shape-shifter, human or telepathic part-faerie, they're mad as hell and they're not going to take it anymore. This episode saw what appeared to be the final vampire-witch battle, with the vamps triumphing over the violently disturbed Wiccan Marnie – with help from Jesus'brujo magic and Sookie's trusty light power. Although the Sookie-Bill-Eric love triangle remained at a standstill this episode, Pam is forced to accept the fact that her maker's allegiance is no longer to her, causing a high potential for Eric's progeny to become dangerously unhinged. Still, love wasn't entirely absent from the plot, with Jessica and Jason trying to ignore the passion between them and failing miserably. As the episode drew to a close though, it seemed wartime had finally given way to peace. But as the final 60 seconds proved, "dead" doesn't necessarily mean "gone".

Ok, a real spoiler from AUSIELLO
Question: Any True Blood scoop ahead of Sunday’s finale? —Scott
Ausiello:
By the end of the hour, the show will be down at least one series regular.

EW's take on the episode, it's a long one at the link.
Let's begin with the Battle of Moon Goddess Emporium. After Marnie stabbed Casey, one of her innocent captives, in the chest with a knife, Antonia wanted to severe ties with her. Cue Lafayette's brilliant line, "Oh shit. Marnie just puked a bitch out," which I predict is already on a T-shirt somewhere. Lafayette was the only one who could see the argument, which ended with Marnie doing a binding spell to suck Antonia back into her. I'd like to think that look of indigestion Marnie had was Antonia working some kind of spell, like a stink bomb.
Who else is hoping the Marnie story line wraps itself up in next week's season finale? Fiona Shaw has been wonderful on the show (awkward high-five!), but after this episode, my patience has grown as thin as Jessica's ("I’m so sick of silverin’ myself all day every day, being pissed off all the time. This is what PMS used to feel like"). And Pam's ("Can we blow up these Wiccan dipshits already? I got a mani-pedi at 4").

NYMag's Vulture Blog-
Bill, Eric, Pam, Jason, Shiz

The A-Team is close to launching their balls to the wall attack on the witches when Jason comes scurrying out of the shadows. Sookie’s inside - put down your weapons. Sookie is perpetually in the way, yet everyone acts surprised every single time she turns up somewhere she doesn’t belong. As anyone who’s been watching this show for more than 10 minutes could intuit, Sookie has a flagrant disregard for authority. The fact that she’s inside Moon Goddess should be no surprise.
Everybody hates Sookie, until Jason comes to his sister’s defense; Sookie picked Eric up off the side of the road and cared for him when he was just a giant baby in a pair of basketball shorts; she let Bill use her as a personal bloody buffet and saved his ass, too. There’s no way they can blow up the building with Sookie the Savior inside, so the mission is aborted. It’s time to find another way.

io9.com's  Meredith has the Pros and Cons up
Con: Roy is still alive, annoyingly calls the Ye Olden Witch Shoppe "Hotel California." He then goes on to explain exactly what Hotel California is (for any of you that haven't heard this song 1,000 times). And didn't understand the dated reference. True Death for Roy please.
Pro: Everyone says "Fucking Sookie" displaying the deep resentment most of the South feels for this meddlesome individual who is constantly burying her nose in everyone's business (and later acts surprised when she's caught in the middle of all the drama). Someone needs to put a bell on that girl...or just stab her with a poison arrow, your choice!
Con: Debbie Pelt is hanging out in her underwear on the bed, in front of Marcus' kid. Yeah you're going to make a great mom, Debs.
Pro: Jesus tells Lafayette that he has to do some "BRUJO SHIT."
Pro: Now can we have an Alcide and Sam spin off where they spend their days fighting crime in New Orleans? Now go to the link and read the rest, laughs aplenty.

Who is she zapping now? Basta.
Is this the end of Jesus? I like Kevin but I want this Lala back.

Soul of Fire, Then There Was One

Ep. 48 Preview
Like You Mean It- Jessica's Blog

Sometimes, back when I was human, I used to pray. The real kind of praying. I had to fake it all the time when my parents were around, but when no one was looking, real late at night, I’d clasp my hands together, get down on my knees and squeeze my eyes shut as tight as I could. I’d think so hard it hurt most of the time. I don’t know if I really believed that god would hear me, or that maybe just the universe would catch wind of it. I wasn’t praying for me or for something I wanted, it was more about reaching people outside of my little life. Hoping that some missing kid I’d seen on the news would be found, or people coming home from war would be safe, that the deaf could hear and the blind could see again.
And even though I’m getting a little tired of having to save Jason with my blood, since it’s mixing up all our feelings, making it hard to tell what’s real and what’s the blood, I’m real glad I got to give him his sight back. Maybe my prayers are coming true, or maybe some things really do come full circle. Not sure what that says about god, about me, or about vampire blood, but I think it says something about the universe.
True Blood Review: The Ties That No Longer Bind- TVFanatic Where you can read it all.

Ding dong, the wicked witch is not actually dead.
Jesus used a dead body, some mysterious babble and a bit of self-mutilation to unbind Antonia from Marnie on "Soul of Fire" - thereby rescuing Sookie from one of the least impressive CGI fires in recent memory - only for that pesky supernatural to take over his boyfriend's body later that night.
Seriously, don't you hate when that happens?

TVOvermindZap2it-

Out in the woods, making his way back home, Andy encountered a faerie named Maurella, who first attacked him and then had sex with him.  When he returned home, he told Arlene about the faerie, who disappeared shortly after they slept together, but Arlene convinced him that it was just a hallucination.
The season finale of True Blood will air on September 12.  Samhain is upon the town.  The spirits of the dead rise in Bon Temps.  This brings a new incarnation of Marnie, but also gives Sookie allies to fight her.  Jason confesses his secret to Hoyt.  Sam and Luna wonder whether they can have a happy ending now that Marcus is dead.  Debbie, angry about being dumped by Alcide, confronts Sookie and Tara.
In the last moments of the most recent episode, Marnie's spirit surfaced again and invaded Lafayette's body.
AV Club

Well, I won’t deny it – that was pretty watchable. There was a lot of action and suspense and whatnot, a big thrilling cliffhanger, and a pretty good resolution to the Marcus subplot. But when you think about it, the penultimate episode of True Blood’s fourth season was kind of a big waste of our time.
All of that suspense was just utterly meaningless. Are the vamps gonna blow up the place? No, we already know there’s a forcefield around it. Are Bill and Eric gonna commit suicide? Please. Not ten minutes later, they’re almost dead again as they’re slowly dragged into the forcefield (for some reason, Marnie couldn’t make them move fast this time). Pretty much the same exact thing, and once again, they were fine. Finally, most ridiculously of all, Sookie gets trapped in a circle of flame and we’re supposed to entertain the thought that she might perish. Hell, even if she gets burned, she can just drink a little more blood! All of these scenes were tense but the stakes were never really there.
Jethro at THR has jokes!
This may have been Jesus’ finest hour. He calls upon the masked Mexican wrestler, who apparently rules his family’s magic, to help unbind Fiona and Antonia. Once accomplished, Antonia escapes and the protection spell disappears. That allows the vamps to get inside the store and Bill shoots Marnie dead.
We aren’t done yet. Back at their home, Lafayette has a visitor: Marnie’s ghost! She takes over his body and we’ll have to wait until next week’s season finale to find out what she has cooking.
Marnie may not be the only reunion that will go down in the finale. While Andy (Chris Bauer) is making his way home after Terry (Todd Lowe) left him to walk home, he encounters a beautiful fairy. Horny and ready to go at it, she asks him to protect her and he swears on her lit E.T. finger. We see a fairy uprising coming and we wonder if Andy’s promise will become very pivotal when it does.
Cinema Blend's full recap at the link-
About halfway through tonight’s episode, I had to double-check to confirm that this was in fact, the second to last episode of Season 4 and not the finale. Everything seemed to be wrapping up too quickly and then, cliffhanger! And a good one at that. One more episode to go before Season 4 finishes up!
“I bind you Nancy...”
I feel like The Craft lied to me. I thought a binding spell was to stop Nancy from doing harm against herself and harm against others. In True Blood lore, a binding spell apparently means locking a ghost’s spirit into ones body. This is what Marnie did after Antonia attempted to evacuate the dance floor, deciding that she’d had enough of Marnie’s power-hungry shenanigans. Antonia definitely wasn’t down with Marnie’s quick decision to kill one of her captives and tried to leave.

Some info on the Fairy Maurella , Mahalo Damon! Read it all HERE.

This morning I asked her a few questions regarding tonight’s episode and she said the following:
“My characters name in tonight’s episode of True Blood is “Maurella” and “It may be a recurring role… it’s up to the producers and HBO… We won’t know until later in the year when filming the next season starts up again.”

Just some stray thoughts while watching
I have to say they pulled a lot of this season, especially the latter part, out of someone's butt. Marnie/Antonia can make groups of people disappear, well then why didn't she use that when she was tied up to burn? Then Marnie has stronger spells than the spirit witch which can trap Antonia, either Antonia is the strong one or Marnie is. Pick one writers. The one liners were good anyway, Pam had to miss her mani-pedi and we know Eric by now, he'd never cast Pam off for anyone or thing, not ever. Gash in a sundress, Pam, you're reading my mind.Anyone else think the motorcycle shop were looks like he is Joe's stand-in? They looked so alike, he was very hot too.As if any straight chicklet would prefer greasy sparse haired Marcus, he must have a magic twanger.Vintage Cartier, oh Pam you are reading my mind, girl knows her stuff. Marnie had one good line to Pam, "don't laugh too much, wouldn't want your lips to fall off." Guess that answers the question if Pam is still rotting inside.
Two wolves don't smell two shifters and a were coming into the house, at this point I think they just throw continuity out the window and we, the viewer's should too. Jason's Walking Dead makeup was excellent. Only Andy would ask a beautiful woman why she's on top of him but tell her he's been cutting back on carbs. He's a great character, hope they don't fuck him up too.ET finger action and she poofs, way to end a fairy booty call.
Bye grease ball Marcus, I did want Sam to do the honors, he already has a high body count. What's one more?
When the vamps were being pulled into the barrier to burn up, didnt you think of the Bananna Boat song from Beetlejuice?

Sookie, using her fairy blasts so randomly but not when she is in a burning circle, ok, makes sense.
Eric did a nice "There Will Be Blood" homage, drinking up Roy's milkshake, great scene. Oh shut up Arlene, Holly, really? NOOOOOO, Andy and Maurella sitting in a fairy tree, please you crazy writers on V. They need to go back to Jason's first 3 season's hair color, it was brown in this episode, if it turned grey I could accept it easier. More highlights please! Casey (the witch  Jesus tasted) was played by the daughter of one of the best sci-fi actors ever, Brad Dourif! Fiona Dourif, we hardly knew ya but hope to see you in more shows and movies.

True Blood, Soul of Fire S4 E11.

The next to last episode of the season seems to be all kinds of exciting and surprising. I don't expect many of my speculations to be right on, since this show always has sharp twists and turns. Let's get to prepping the ep.
Canyon News turned out to be a good source for pre-episode info, they deserve props for their season 4 coverage.

This week in Hollywoodland, “True Blood” is down to two more episodes, with tomorrow night’s “Soul of Fire” about to eclipse in excitement all other episodes so far this season. Marnie/Antonia may unearth a powerful, demonic and lethal ally in her war against the vampires, which has been declared by King Bill Compton of Louisiana last week. We have one more exclusive never-before-seen photograph of Michael Jackson from 1978, and two major Hollywood icons, actors Shia LaBeouf and Matthew Fox made news for all the wrong reasons. But for now, back to your exclusive “True Blood” preview of tomorrow night’s gripping story.
On Sunday night’s episode of “True Blood,” titled “Soul of Fire,” viewers can expect a lot of twists and turns in the magnificently written, acted and directed episode. Last week Marnie/Antonia kidnapped Sookie and Lafayette, who were running toward the Moon Goddess to save Tara, Holly, Jesus and the Wicca followers, who are now being held against their will by Marnie and the 400-year-old witch Antonia, who is in possession of Marnie’s body.
Also, after Sookie’s fairy powers broke the spell Antonia held over Eric, King Bill of Louisiana decided it’s war; and he’s not about to allow Antonia to kill anymore vampires. As the episode ended to the hit song “Burning Down the House,” viewers saw Bill, Jessica, Pam and Eric headed to the Moon Goddess with missiles, bombs and firearms. Unbeknownst to the vampire warriors, Marnie/Antonia now holds their beloved Sookie with her group inside the building and she’s not about to go down in flames quite yet.
Tomorrow night, as the Wicca-vampire standoff reaches a critical juncture, Sookie (Anna Paquin) summons her faerie powers to prevent Marnie (Fiona Shaw) from bewitching Bill (Stephen Moyer), Eric (Alexander Skarsgård) and Pam (Kristin Bauer van Straten) into a suicide march. That’s right, Sookie has now become more powerful and she’s about to match wits and determinations with Marnie/Antonia, and anyone else who plans on destroying the Viking vampire (Eric) or the Civil War hero (Bill).
Sookie will have an ally, when Jesus (Kevin Alejandro) decides to cast a secret spell designed to un-bind Marnie/Antonia and break the witch’s deadly defenses. The spell however may backfire, and place someone he loves in grave danger.

While Tommy’s death is still fresh to viewers, it’s even more raw to brother Sam, (Sam Trammell) who once and for all, settles a score with Marcus (Dan Buran). Sam finds a werewolf on his side in Alcide (Joe Manganiello), who is pushed to the brink after Sam’s confrontation with his pack master, and then Alcide confronts Debbie (Brit Morgan) about her allegiances. Truth is, viewers know that Debbie is only allied with herself, and Alcide may not find that out in time. Sheriff Andy (Chris Bauer) finds unexpected passion in the forest, on his way back home after Terry’s successful intervention to get Andy to stop using V. And for Truebies, we all know that Lafayette is a powerful conduit that manages to bring back spirits from the dead, yet tomorrow night on “True Blood,“ Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis) becomes consumed by the past.
In a shocking twist, expect Marnie/Antonia to unearth a powerful and lethal ally in her battle against the vampires, which reaches a fever pitch just in time for next week’s season finale, which will leave viewers breathless. (!!!!???)
Is Newlin dead? and he comes out of the grave to help Antonia/Marnie? I wanted him to either be turned or come back as his crazy self. What a waste of a good villain if he's dead and gone (after this one time).
Sure looks like the Reverend Steve Newlin across from Nan to me, but I am more wrong than right when it comes to guessing Ball's twists.
Loving True Blood in Dallas thinks Andy meet's the Maenad in the woods.
EP 11 Andy finds unexpected passion in the forest...ep 12 and the denizens of Bon Temps brace for a new crisis with a familiar face. We know who Sookie found in that forest and who was attracted to addicts.....just sayin'

All the previews in a row.

Hold on t-t-together baby
gotta get out of here
hollow moon is rising
and the sky is clear
so I got a feeling
I got a frenzy (?)
of burning fires
till the darkness ends

Oh see the witch you can see now (?)
gotta let your mind go
gotta free your body
gotta have a drink now
I've seen the serpent
I've seen the spirit
oh the smoke has told me
that I cannot hold it
Look out!

The past will soon come back to haunt everyone on True Blood.
So teases the extended promo, which teases the September 11 season four finale, titled "And When I Die."
Look for the episode to fall on what Holly describes as "Witches New Year," which does not appear to be a festive occasion. Get your first look at how the season will wrap up now, as Lafayette looks to be taking his skills as a medium to a new, scary level...TVFanatic

Sam (Sam Trammell) is still on the hunt for Tommy's killer , Antonia has realized that she possessed the body of a mad woman, and Jason (Ryan Kwanten) doesn’t let the Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) and Bill (Stephen Moyer) take Sookie (Anna Paquin) for granted. THR

Episode #47 (S4, Ep. 11):  “Soul of Fire”
Debut:  SUNDAY, SEPT. 4 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT)
As the Wiccan-vampire standoff reaches a critical juncture, Sookie (Anna Paquin) summons her faerie powers to prevent Marnie (Fiona Shaw) from bewitching Bill (Stephen Moyer), Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) and Pam (Kristin Bauer van Straten) into a suicide march, while Jesus (Kevin Alejandro) casts a secret spell designed to un-bind Marnie/Antonia and break the witch’s deadly defenses.  Sam (Sam Trammell) settles a score with Marcus (Dan Buran); Alcide (Joe Manganiello) confronts Debbie (Brit Morgan) about her allegiances; Andy (Chris Bauer) finds unexpected passion in the forest; Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis) is consumed by the past.
Los Angeles - The "True Blood" season finale is just a few weeks away, so what better time to have actor Joe Manganiello... who plays hottie werewolf Alcide Herveaux... come by the Good Day LA studio to dish about the show?
Stick around for the end of Joe's interview and you'll find out something very interesting about the season finale!

Introductions

THR interviews Alexander Woo

The Hollywood Reporter: Can you explain Eric’s sadness as a result of his memory returning?
Alexander Woo: Alex Skarsgard did an extraordinary job of conveying that. He was an innocent again, but all of the things he had done as a vampire kind of vanished, and we saw at his core this kind of humanity that I think Sookie fell for. I think the way Alex has played Eric is very moving and very touching. Both he and Sookie kind of know that that can’t last forever. As we’re getting toward the end of the season, this builds us towards the climax of what’s going to happen between Eric and Sookie, because now they’ve fallen for each other and the person he was when they fell for each other is now gone again. And whether they can last will feed their story line at the end of the season.
THR: Eric behaved very coldly to Pam after getting his memory back. Is that forming another triangle involving Sookie and Pam for Eric’s attention?
Woo: You’ll see that there’s a very explosive struggle within Eric between the vampire that he was, and then he doesn’t forget how genuinely happy he seems to have been when he didn’t have his memories. He doesn’t want to admit this to himself, but there’s a part of him that was happier, and he won’t admit necessarily his feelings for Sookie now that he has his memories back, but it’s tough because he was so content and so happy with who he was, and then he was a different person and was so content and happy with what he was then, too. Now that he’s on the other side of this, there’s a struggle with Pam pulling him one direction and Sookie pulling him in the other. We will have that to look forward to in the last two episodes of how Eric decides to negotiate the struggle.
THR: Some fans have still not forgiven Bill for all that he has done to Sookie in service to the former queen. Do you and the other writers believe you’ve done a good job of portraying Bill as someone Sookie can still be in love with?
Woo: I still think we feel very strongly that he was Sookie’s first love, and there’s something always very special about your first love. It wasn’t all that long ago either. It’s a very recent first love that was very, very deep. Even though there are all these things that have happened in the interim in the time of the show, we’ve had four seasons since they first met -- but in their world, a little over a year. I think it still resonates that there is this awakening that came about in her life with Bill, and he will always be a very special part of her life. I think in the world that [creator Alan Ball] has created Bill is certainly going to be a part of that world.
He doesn’t necessarily have to be Sookie’s lover, but he’s always going to be a huge part of her life. I can’t say for certain that we’ve made any hard and fast decision, but to me it feels very strongly that Bill is always going to be a presence and always going to be a candidate for her affections.
Eric, by the way, in the world that we’ve created is also now, as much as he sometimes hates her and as much as she sometimes hates him, he’s always going to be under her skin for the life of the series as well. I don’t think that can go away either

Two True Blood Episodes Left!

Whoa, looks like it's Anna's character from "Trick or Treat" before all hell breaks out. I need to watch again and again, but Lafayette takes Jesus demon into himself (while wearing a lovely Caftan). HBO removed the trailer, what is wrong with them?

From UGO

The war for Bon Temps rages on! True Blood continues moving toward the fourth season climax with this past Sunday's "Burning Down the House." Marnie's attack scares off the humans attending the Tolerance Festival, but Bill plots a bold move to strike back at the witches, who themselves only want to escape from their leader.
The real question is, what do Trubies need to know for this Sunday's "Soul of Fire?" Will the deadly vampire assassination squad of Bill, Eric, Pam and Jessica take down Marnie at Moon Goddess Emporium? Will Andy truly kick his V habit? And where does Nan Flanagan fit into all of this?
Was saving Barbara's screencaps from this promo (below) for the weekend and it's heeeeeeere!

Why is Arlene all veiny-faced and wearing what looks like toes on a necklace? She's a zombie for Halloween, so is Terry. Seems like she is forced up against the beam.
Ginger not screaming and comforting Pam?
Marnie laughing while Sooks is definitely not, time for a fairy intervention by one of the triplets.
Oh NOOOOEEES, you will not replace my animal prints with chintz!
Jason will be pretty again, he has to be and Jessica will make sure of that, I hope.
This is from the promo for Sunday
This is another one that is on Skarsgardfans for the "Soul of Fire" ep., that Barbara saved from the rehearsal.
Ryan laughing during filming with his gooky makeup on.
The fabulous Chris Bauer has another interview at NY Mag's Vulture Blog, the whole thing at the link
What did you think of your big intervention episode?
You know, it feels so good just to get a few extra minutes of screen time.
Is that frustrating, to share screen time with so many actors?
It could be a lot worse. But in such a good scenario, yeah, that’s what’s hard about it. I still have the challenge of trying to do the best work I can, whether I have to do that with one syllable or five scenes. At least that’s how I console myself.
But there are no hard feelings among the cast?
Absolutely not. It’s a really great group, and everybody’s in the same boat, more or less. I think from the point of view of the audience, they love their supernatural creatures, they love their vampires, they love their shape-shifters. And I totally understand that, but you gotta have the humans in there, too, to give it some plausibility.
This season Andy is addicted to V. When you were figuring out how to get into that character, what sort of drug were you imagining V to be? Ecstasy meets steroids? Heroin meets acid?
I considered it sort of like the best drug salad you could make [laughs]. You know, if drugs were healthy, it’s everything good like steroids, Viagra, ecstasy, cocaine, heroin. Basically anything but pot.
It’s funny you mention Viagra, because when Jason Stackhouse was addicted to V, he spent a lot more time in bed than Andy. Do you feel slighted?
[Laughs.] I consider myself a perfectly sexy guy, but in the vocabulary of popular television, it’s much more likely that guys like Ryan [Kwanten] and Joe [Manganiello] and Alex [Skarsgård] and Steve [Moyer] and Sam [Trammell] are gonna get those little chunks of story. But I gotta say, my impression of Alan Ball as a writer is that he’s a total humanist and by no means would he discern who can be sexy and who can’t. But, realistically, they’re gonna hang those scenes on those other guys, and so be it.
Besides, it makes sense that Jason would tap into that effect of the drug whereas Andy, who has to work through such a different set of emotional issues, would get the more aggressive effects.
Well, he’s a complete rager. He’s got major rage issues. But like most rage, it comes from a profound sadness and solitude and resentment. He’s such a solitary character that his ability to form a relationship long enough to even have a sexual connection is almost impossible.
You came pretty close to getting your love story with Holly, but the V got in the way. Are you rooting for him to win her back?
Yes. I’m rooting for him to be able to integrate as an adult with other adults [laughs].
We learned very early in this season that you are Bill’s great-great-great grandson. Is that story line going to come back into the mix? It’s just dangling there at the moment.
I hope it does. I don’t know yet. If I remember right, Andy had a kind of improbably sympathetic connection to Bill at the very beginning [of this season], and the writers are so deliberate the way they plot this show, I wouldn’t be surprised if that sympathy is resurrected somehow. I’m hoping there’s a vein that they’ll tap there later, because it could be really sweet.

Earsucker has a bunch of questions about  E11, we have many of the same ones, more at link.

True Blood is soon winding down to a close of season four, as we are up to episode eleven, titled, Soul Of Fire. The penultimate episode airs on Sunday, leaving us with a lot of questions about what’s going down in Bon Temps, Louisiana.
Now that we know that Marnie is really behind the Antonia thing and that she’s not being possessed unwillingly, it left us with no doubt that she’s crazy. Sure, she was attacked by Eric, but you can’t take one vampire’s actions out on the whole lot of them, can she?
There’s a vampire/witch war brewing in Bon Temps and Sookie and her friends are caught in the middle. Will they be able to leave Moon Goddess Emporium in time before the vamps get there and blow it up? Sure they will, there is a season five, after all.
Will Jesus be able to overpower Marnie/Antonia and cast out the spirit that’s inhabiting her body? Will the vampires be able to do what they want with her after it’s all said and done? They want to kill her for what she’s done, so there’s always that chance that Marnie won’t make it to the next season.
Will Sookie be able to communicate with both Eric and Bill that she’s in danger, trapped inside of the witch store?
Is Sam going to get the chance to avenge his brother’s death against Marcus? And since Marcus is most assuredly going after Alcide’s woman, Debbie, will he lend a hand? Perhaps with Marcus out of the way, Alcide can become the new packmaster of Shreveport.
Poor Andy, will he be able to make it home through the forest without any trouble? It’s rehab for rednecks. Ha.
Lastly, if Marnie dies, will the spell that she cast on Pam disintegrate? What do you think?
HBO removed the finale trailer, someone is in trouble for posting too soon (I'm sure) but Barbara is quick on the trigger and did the caps, lol! Love that woman, many more at her site.
Here's a better quality video but I'm leaving the Spanish one up top for mi gentes.

Lafayette has Jesus demon in him (that sounds so dirty), we all need to buy some caftans!
OOh Papi! furry Bill flexing, sexyfoder (any Portuguesas here?)!
who is across from Nan, Newlin? oh we are in for surprises.
                                                                    looking at Lala, caftan envy?
                                                                   Looking at Antonia?
Thanks to Barbara for doing screencaps while she is trying to get rid of a cold, visit her site, click on some ads or donate (if you can) to show you appreciate it, we wouldn't mind that here either, hee.

Soul of Fire, Rolling to True Blood Weekend

I never read that Stellan was asked to be on TB before this Eonline article-

How cool would it be to see Alexander Skarsgard act opposite his dad, well known Swedish actor Stellan Skarsgård, on True Blood?
Pretty cool.
Sadly, it ain't happening...

Stellan, who you may recognize from Good Will Hunting, Pirates of the Caribbean, Angels & Demons, many Lars von Trier films and even Entourage, tells me he's been asked to be on the show, but, well, he's too busy.
"I don't have the time," he told me while promoting the upcoming DVD release of his latest flick, Thor.
Good to know it's not because he doesn't appreciate his son's work. "I think it's very well done and he's great in it," Stellan said.
In fact, he wants you to know that he takes no credit for Alex's massive success. "I don't give him any advice at all, because for my kids, from the age of 16 their lives are their responsibility," he said. "If he had the feeling that it was thanks to me that he had any of his success, it would just be half a success. He owes everything to himself."
From HuffPo's interview with Joe, more at the link-
The only move he'll be making is on Sookie. With only two episodes left in the season, many "True Blood" fans are wondering what's going to happen between the werewolf and the Southern fairy, who seems preoccupied by her own blood-sucking ménage à trois.
"They really dangle that carrot," says the actor. "Alcide is really starting to change. You see that alpha wolf start to come out of him--for better or for worse--and that was something that was really exciting to play. With Debbie back on the V, you'll start to see that escalate and boil over,
but Sookie and Alcide haven't had their final moment yet."
Collider has an interview with Kevin Alejandro asking what he's doing with his hiatus,
which will turn put to be a funny one if he is killed off in the finale. Read it all at the link.
Did the fact that the relationship between Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis) and Jesus is not in the books and therefore wide open in its development, help in making this role less nerve-wracking, since there were no preconceived notions about this character?
ALEJANDRO: I think so. And the way they’ve written both Jesus and Lafayette, just leaves more room for people to form an audience relationship with them and grab onto the characters.

With the year jump in time this season, did you talk about how the relationship between Jesus and Lafayette changed and evolved over that year?
ALEJANDRO: Yeah. It’s one year later, so a lot happened during that year. Also, Nelsan and myself are comfortable with each other as friends now. We’re a lot closer as Kevin and Nelsan, so we play off each other more and we just feel a little freer. I’ve learned so much by working with that guy. He is a genius, when it comes to our craft. He’s one of the best at it. I love working with the dude. I might be a little biased because I had a lot more to do, but the writing was really good this season. The stuff that Nelsan and I got to go through together was really great this year.
kevin-alejandro-nelson-ellis-true-blood-imageNow that you’ve gotten to play this character for a little bit, how do you see Jesus? What kind of person is he to you, especially after this season?
ALEJANDRO: Without giving anything away, Jesus is considerate, kind and loving, and he’s so in love with Lafayette. But, there’s a darkness in him, too. He’s a well-balanced character. With everybody, there’s good and bad. It’s to-be-determined which one prevails.

In learning about this character, what aspects of him have most surprised you?
ALEJANDRO: It was not necessarily surprising, but getting into his backstory, figuring out where he came from and who he was as a child, and the different parts of the world that he lived in, was intriguing to me and interesting to learn.

Has it been fun to see the witches become this unexpected and very real threat to the vampires?
ALEJANDRO: Absolutely! It’s so cool. It’s very fun. With this show, in particular, it’s not very often that you get to play with everyone. This season, everyone has been all over the place. There are relationships with everyone now. I get to go through all the Bon Temps people.
Did you have any particular favorite episodes or moments this season?
ALEJANDRO: From Episode 5 to the season finale. Everything just blows up. When I was reading it, I was like, “Oh, my god!” I haven’t seen any of it, but if it shows anything like it read, everyone is going to just be amazed. It’s pretty cool!

Carrie Preston on Blogtalk Radio, the whole thing is there
Carrie spills on what it has been like to film scenes with some of the original Bon Temps crew. “It’s nice to get back with some of the original cast members. The show is so big and epic, and I think that is what makes it exciting, but sometimes you do kind of get lost. A lot of times we feel like we are all on different TV shows. I feel like I am on the show with the bar, and other people are on some vampire show. I don’t know what that show is. I’m on a show about a bar, so it’s fun when those worlds collide.” If you are wondering whether or not Sookie and Arlene will touch bases again this season, Carrie believes that she has “one more scene with [Anna] before the season is over.”
There are just two episodes left, and Carrie shares a little bit on how True Blood will end this season. “This show does a really good job of wrapping all of the storylines up and also leaving you with a massive cliffhanger, and that’s definitely going to happen. You’ll definitely get to touch down with everyone else.” Carrie also says that viewers will “freak out at the cliffhanger this year.” Hopefully it is a good freak out, and not a terribly painful one, but with True Blood, who knows.
