Where There's a Bill, There's a Fae.

HBO

Happy Father's Day to all who deserve it, especially Denis, Hugo and Sam.
Sam Trammell has become a real expert at being a dad. In addition to starring as Hazel Lancaster's father in "The Fault in Our Stars" and playing dad-to-be Sam Merlotte on "True Blood," he also is the proud father of two 2-year-olds, Winston and Gus. "For me, just being present and being there," he says. "Putting the time in is really, I find, one of the most important things that I do as a father. It's literally just being there."
Even Trammell acknowledges that's easier said than done. "It's so easy not to be," he admits. "It's so easy to go to your computer or get on your phone or just do stuff when you're with your kids. I see it all the time. We really have so many ways to distract ourselves, and distract ourselves surreptitiously. I try to really be present with them when I'm with them, and try to be with them as much as possible." Zap2it.

5 Reasons to Watch Sunday's Farewell Show By Katie M. Lucas
Goodbyes suck, obviously, so the final season of 'True Blood' is bound to be bittersweet…and not just for Truebies. In an all-new, 30-minute show 'A Farewell to Bon Temps,' the 'True Blood' cast and producers share their many feelings about the series and – as you might imagine – the conversation is both upbeat and melancholy. Plus, it’s juicy.
The show airs this Sunday at 8:30pm ET, but to whet your appetite beforehand, here are five things you can look forward to:

Plus, there’s insight from the show's creative minds, including series creator Alan Ball and executive producer Brian Buckner.
2. Unforgettable First Impressions
The stars share their initial thoughts upon joining the cast. You’ll learn who was thought of as a "Scandinavian farmer" in the early days.
3. Tales of True Fans
From one epic tattoo to a request to be licked (yes, really), the stars confess all about Truebies' pride and passion for the show.
4. Behind the Scenes Scoop
Which scene did a cast member describe as being “on some sort of psychotropic drugs"? You'll find out.
5. Orgies and Drugs and Blood, Oh My!
The cast tells all about filming some of the series' most outrageous scenes.

Tune in this Sunday at 8:30pm ET and join the conversation using the hashtag #FarewelltoBonTemps… The night should tide you over until the Season 7 premiere – only one week later! – on June 22 at 9pm ET.

Get On Up is the James Brown bio that Nelsan plays the great Bobby Byrd, dig that wig! I worked in a hotel for a minute once and James Brown's band was there, he  had a salon chair that he traveled with so he could get his hair styled for shows. I still have old LPs of the King of Soul, there will never be another like him. This movie should be great, happy for Nelsan.

Nice write up on Tara Buck on HuffPo, her background and other roles.
I wish we had some wine now as coffee doesn't aid my attempts at convincing Tara to reveal how Eric Northman survives being immolated upon that Nordic mountaintop at the end of season 6. Ginger is, after all, completely loyal to that powerful 1100-year-old vampire and his compelling consort Pam. "I'm their pet so I belong to them," she explains. Ginger has been "glamoured" (hypnotized, memory erased) so many times by the vampires that she is deranged. Tara Buck says, "I also think of her like a Tijuana stray dog, a Chihuahua. She just wants to be part of the group." Some of my favorite images of Tara are of her riding Pam's casket like a bucking bronco, and entering her room, the shrine of a vampire fangirl, Bela Lugosi posters and all.
Of her most unusual journey on True Blood, Tara Buck admits, "Every time I got a script, I would look through it and see if I died. When I didn't, I'd go back and read the script, and sort of breathe a sigh of relief. Oh, I've got another episode. So this year when they wanted to offer me a series regular, I was a little in disbelief. And thrilled, of course!"
She says, "It's the payoff for all the things you wondered about Ginger. What's she doing there? What keeps her there? Why do they keep her there? What is her relationship with Pam and Eric? I think the fans will be sufficiently satiated this season." MORE

True Throwback: 7 Sensational Scene Stealers
by Tanner Stransky
There's nothing quite like a scene stealer in Bon Temps. You know, the personalities who waltz into a situation and effortlessly snag all the humor for themselves with a killer line of dialogue or a fearless act. We're talking folks like Lafayette, Steve and Sarah Newlin, Pam... and the list goes on and on. Today, as a continuation of our True Throwback series that's celebrating the best of 'True Blood,' we’re honoring the characters who bring some levity and sass – and dare we say it... bite? – to the show.

Sam Trammell stopped by Entertainment Weekly Radio (SiriusXM Channel 105) to chat about both his latest movie and the final season of True Blood. In the first clip below, he talks about playing a parent for the first time on-screen and the first movie that made him weep. In the second, he confirms we’re in for a darker, scarier season of True Blood; that he’s still naked a lot; and that night shoots require a bit of bravery. Listen here , the interviewer says she saw the first 2 episodes! Below is another with Covino &Rich.

Triple Threat Award presented to Joe Manganiello, Celestial Cinema Friday
plays with La Bare, Award Tribute, 2014, 30 mins.

LA BARE marks the feature film directorial debut for Joe Manganiello. He is best known to audiences for his roles as "Big Dick Richie" in Steven Soderbergh's male stripper phenomena MAGIC MIKE and as werewolf "Alcide Herveaux," on HBO's TRUE BLOOD for which he has won both critical and popular praise. In 2012 the readers of Entertainment Weekly Magazine voted him, "Favorite Pop-Culture Werewolf of All Time." 2013 saw Manganiello publish his first book, EVOLUTION through Simon & Schuster's Gallery Books to overwhelming demand, forcing a second print within its first week of release. He holds a BFA in Acting from The Carnegie Mellon School of Drama and could most recently be seen on stage as "Stanley Kowalski" at the Yale Repertory Theater's first ever production of A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE this past fall. He was seen alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sam Worthington as DEA Agent "Joseph 'Grinder' Phillips," in writer/director David Ayer's film SABOTAGE, which was released on April 11th. Next, he will be reprising his role as "Alcide Herveaux " in the last season of HBO's TRUE BLOOD premiering in June. Manganiello is the President/CEO of 3:59 INCORPORATED, a production company with a full slate of projects in development for 2014 that he runs alongside his brother/producing partner Nick, based out of Los Angeles.Pic: Andrew Goodman/Getty Images North America.

Video Thumbnail: Sam Trammell on “True Blood” Final SeasonHow is the HBO star’s character going to protect the town of Bon Temps? Plus, see the actor talk about saying goodbye to the series!

E! News caught up with Sam Trammell, the shapeshifter who is now mayor of Bon Temps. Yep, a mayor who "went off the rails there for a couple episodes." Video is at the link
"It's pretty nuts, it's a tough town…There's some serious stuff coming our way with those vampires," Trammell told E! News at The Fault in Our Stars premiere. "It's an insane season, it's great. People are going to love this final season."
But with the excitement comes sadness.
"All of us, we're really sad. It's been seven years. We're in the last month of shooting so we're saying goodbye to this set or that actor…It's just a fun world where anything can happen," he told us.

Can't believe I didn't even think of going, I've been frazzled/brainfried  since last week.

Hmmm, what is she thinking about, could be something good or...

Long, well written read  on Joe M at Buzzfeed by Jarett- worth reading in it's entirety at the link.
Here's a bite-Once Magic Mike wrapped, Manganiello found himself with an unexpected amount of free time during production on the sixth season of True Blood as a harsh reality came to light. “There was some shifting around in the hierarchy onTrue Blood and one of the casualties was my storyline,” he said. “It became very clear I was the lone werewolf on the vampire show, and no matter how you cut it, it’s not about you. The episodes take three weeks to shoot and I was shooting one scene an episode, which meant I was going into work one day every three weeks. So, I had all this time on my hands to finance, produce, and direct a movie.”
THIS-“I don’t think there’s any such thing as male objectification,” Manganiello added with a shrug when asked about his own voyeur-inviting nudity. “I think that word exists only with women because there are societal pressures for them to behave a certain way and to look a certain way. Someone put it to me once: Women are sex objects and men are success objects. That was really interesting to me.”

True Throwback: 4 Unforgettable True Deaths by Tanner Stransky

Like most things on ‘True Blood,’ killing a vampire is complicated...they are immortal, after all. But when a vamp does meet True Death, it’s always a memorable, albeit messy, event. Today as a continuation of our countdown of the series' most unforgettable moments, we’re going dark with a look at true deaths.
Here are four of the most memorable True Deaths from ‘True Blood’ in advance of the season 7 premiere on June 22. We dare you to think of another exit that packed the emotional punch of Godric’s True Death as he met the sun (all while Sookie looked on).
Roman/Keller had to go but his ass was fine!
So Sad, Eric should have killed the Faes instead, and their storyline.
