Video Thumbnail: Sam Trammell on “True Blood” Final SeasonHow is the HBO star’s character going to protect the town of Bon Temps? Plus, see the actor talk about saying goodbye to the series!

E! News caught up with Sam Trammell, the shapeshifter who is now mayor of Bon Temps. Yep, a mayor who "went off the rails there for a couple episodes." Video is at the link
"It's pretty nuts, it's a tough town…There's some serious stuff coming our way with those vampires," Trammell told E! News at The Fault in Our Stars premiere. "It's an insane season, it's great. People are going to love this final season."
But with the excitement comes sadness.
"All of us, we're really sad. It's been seven years. We're in the last month of shooting so we're saying goodbye to this set or that actor…It's just a fun world where anything can happen," he told us.

Can't believe I didn't even think of going, I've been frazzled/brainfried  since last week.

Long, well written read  on Joe M at Buzzfeed by Jarett- worth reading in it's entirety at the link.
Here's a bite-Once Magic Mike wrapped, Manganiello found himself with an unexpected amount of free time during production on the sixth season of True Blood as a harsh reality came to light. “There was some shifting around in the hierarchy onTrue Blood and one of the casualties was my storyline,” he said. “It became very clear I was the lone werewolf on the vampire show, and no matter how you cut it, it’s not about you. The episodes take three weeks to shoot and I was shooting one scene an episode, which meant I was going into work one day every three weeks. So, I had all this time on my hands to finance, produce, and direct a movie.”
THIS-“I don’t think there’s any such thing as male objectification,” Manganiello added with a shrug when asked about his own voyeur-inviting nudity. “I think that word exists only with women because there are societal pressures for them to behave a certain way and to look a certain way. Someone put it to me once: Women are sex objects and men are success objects. That was really interesting to me.”

True Throwback: 4 Unforgettable True Deaths by Tanner Stransky

Like most things on ‘True Blood,’ killing a vampire is complicated...they are immortal, after all. But when a vamp does meet True Death, it’s always a memorable, albeit messy, event. Today as a continuation of our countdown of the series' most unforgettable moments, we’re going dark with a look at true deaths.
Here are four of the most memorable True Deaths from ‘True Blood’ in advance of the season 7 premiere on June 22. We dare you to think of another exit that packed the emotional punch of Godric’s True Death as he met the sun (all while Sookie looked on).
Roman/Keller had to go but his ass was fine!
So Sad, Eric should have killed the Faes instead, and their storyline.
