I just didn't get enough of Julian Luna and The Embraced earlier, can you blame me?
People Mag put Alexander on their crappy Sexiest Man Alive list, could've used a better pic too.
Already crowned sexiest man alive in his native Sweden, the 35-year-old star has been wooing American audiences with his brooding portrayal as bad-boy vampire Eric Northman on True Blood. "It's very flattering," the newly single star says of the attention. "I turn a little pink!" (Ed. He was always single, what idiots) MTV talks to Alexander about working with his sexysexy dad Stellan. "He's such a douche bag in the movie," Alexander said with a grin. "Your dad's a douche bag?" Dunst answered, laughing. "Well, he is," Alexander confirmed. "What I thought was interesting about Michael was that he'd pick this guy as his best man at his wedding. This is not his best friend. It's his wife's boss, and he does it just to kind of help his wife in his career. It says a lot about Michael." (Not to mention the trajectory of their love affair.) Despite Jack's unpleasant demeanor, working with dad Stellan was an experience Alexander truly cherished. "It was awesome," he enthused. "We've never worked together before. He's one of my best friends. I love hanging out with him. Being able to hang out for two months - we shot in [our home country of] Sweden, and I thought it was great that he wasn't my dad." "He's pretty rad. He's a cool cat," Alexander said.
Italian actress Valentina Cervi is joining True Blood‘s upcoming fifth season as a series regular — and her character sounds like the love child of Russell and Maryann. The 35-year-old beauty will play Salome, an ancient vampire who is a world class seductress and fiercely intelligent. She also has quite a lot of madness in her. She is the most powerful person in every way yet capable of hiding this power when it serves her purposes.
Cervi recently appeared opposite Rufus Sewell in the BBC miniseries Zen.
Meanwhile, Co-Executive Producer Raelle Tucker told EW that they’ll include a “very significant, strong, mysterious woman at the center of one of our main stories next year … a very familiar and compelling character. It may be someone you’ve heard of before.” Especially if you’ve read the Bible: The True Blood team also put out the call for someone to play Salome, as in THE Salome, daughter of Herodias, from the good book. She’s a powerful ancient vampire (hmm, don’t remember that part from the New Testament) and a world-class seductress who’s also a little mad. So she’ll fit right into Bon Temps.
This isnt new, but it still makes me laugh.
Deborah Ann Woll’s film “Mother’s Day directed by Darren Lynn Bousman, is to be distributed in North America by Anchor Bay Films and is to be released in May 2012. The film has already premiered in the United Kingdom last June. SOURCE
Trailer and photo from another movie Deborah has coming out, Catch.44, now this looks like my type of flick. She is in it after 40 secs, Eli from Boardwalk Empire is in it too!
Good interview with Stephen Moyer from Moviesharkdeblore.com, whole article at the link
Stephen Moyer is a man known for sinking his teeth into a role, holding on and making it his own, leaving an indelible impression on both the character and project as a whole. For the past four years, Moyer has bewitched us with his star-making turn as vampire Bill Compton in the acclaimed HBO series True Blood, something that Moyer does not take for granted. "The show is so extraordinarily successful. Who would have thought in Season 4 that we’d gain an audience? That’s so rare to do that in any chance. I don’t think The Sopranos ever did that. Sex in the City certainly didn’t do that. And obviously that’s just HBO shows. So it’s extraordinary that we keep growing."
Describing his success with True Blood as "a double edged sword", Moyer never forgets for a moment that it’s the show, and his fans, that have generated great interest in him, interest that has put him in great demand with film projects. "The reason is that there’s that interest is because of my show. I love my show, and if it wasn’t for my show, there wouldn’t be that interest. I’ve got a 5 month window [to do non-True Bloodprojects]. A lot of people don’t have that long. If I can make stuff happen in that 5 months then that’s amazing."
Moyer is chameleonic in his performances and looks for roles that will allow him to embody himself into someone new and different. " [W]hen I started out with Bill Compton, obviously being English, the American Civil War wasn’t something that I’m particularly oh fay (sp) with, even though there was English involvement. So I did some research into that. I also did a lot of research into the kind of accent we were going to use. The accent stuff is very interesting to me because it’s another part of your costume. You go on. You put your boots on. You do the hair. You put the make-up on and then you put the voice on. By doing that, I feel every time, a slightly bit more removed from "Steve". . . I played an American character earlier in the summer who was more of a Californian sound. My straight American [accent], it tends to be more Connecticut sounding which is something that happens. Most actors when they come over [to America] they sort of end up with a kind of middle class version of American. . .I did something a little more Californian which was a lot of fun."
Beyond accents (which while watching Moyer speak about them, you see his excitement with this aspect of a role), is his physical appearance. With so many people identifying with him as Bill Compton, Moyer is quick to point out that "I’m not from the South and I don’t have jet black hair really. It’s kind of quite fair under here. I’m actually not as pale as I am as Bill. And I’m not 173 years old. When I act in other stuff, I think I’m lucky because I don’t think I have the baggage that’s going to make me only be seen as that character. Certainly I take that into consideration when I’m doing something like this [THE DOUBLE], when I’m building this character. Instead of wearing the bangs, I’m gonna wear my hair back and we’re gonna lighten it and we’re going to put lines under my eyes and we’re gonna put a scar here because I want to try to be as different as possible from the way people see me on a day to day basis."

Beautiful photos but they don't look like Anna at all to me.
TrueBloodfansource has some Charlaine Harris quotes about ending her Sookie tomes, all at the link but here's a bit.
Author Charlaine Harris has been living with Sookie Stackhouse for 15 years and by the time the 13thSouthern Vampire Mystery novel goes to press in 2013, she will have not only written a highly successful book series, but also inspired the equally successful HBO seriesTrue Blood. Dragging my feet about going to the gym tonight. Sad that my vacation is over but its time to get jacked for #TrueBloodSeasonFive
By now you might have noticed I have been a lover of all things Vampire for a very long time. Kindred, The Embraced was a show I adored, the reason it ended was a very sad one for fans of the series. The star, Mark Frankel, had a beloved yellow Harley and was in an accident that ended his young life, still is very sad to think of it. He had a young family and a very bright future ahead of him, he also had/has a huge fanbase. Kindred was based on a book, Vampire, The Masquerade and Julian Luna (Frankel) is like the Godfather of the vampire clans and must rule with an iron fist to keep peace between them. It isn't easy because they are always warring, you know how vamps are.
If you can get a DVD of the show or catch it on some cable channel, you won't be sorry you did. TVLine has info on a new cast member-
True Blood is introducing the woman who gave life to late werewolf packmaster Marcus, and they found one tough mother to play her. My Name is Earl character actress Dale Dickey — who knows a thing or two about channeling formidable, backwoods matriarchs (see: her acclaimed, award-winning performance in last year’sWinter’s Bone) — is joining the HBO hit as Annie, Marcus’ werewolf mother. Powerful and respected within the pack due to her late son’s position, Annie is determined to perform a particular ritual. Might said ritual involve making Alcide pay for whacking her demon spawn? Her status is reccurring. Ah, dear Mr Ball, the books have great characters, can't you bring yourself to use them more?
Moviefone has an interview with Askars- Alexander Skarsgard is well aware that he can't be the scoundrelly yet, at times, amiable, vampire Eric Northman forever. That's not to say that he hasn't enjoyed his time on 'True Blood'; he has, even if that does include filming an occasional ménage à trois with real-life husband and wife Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin. But he also realizes that continuing to play the versions of Eric Northman he's continuously offered -- "without the fangs," he admits -- is, as Skarsgard puts it, "creative suicide." In other words: nothing a Lars von Trier movie won't fix. This is what he answered when they talked about Melancholia, the whole interview is at the above link. You play, by far, the nicest person in this movie. It was fun because Eric on 'True Blood' is an alpha male. And we shot this right after we wrapped season three, so I had spent seven months being Eric and it was so fun doing something that was very different. You play an extremely popular character on 'True Blood.' A lot of people have played popular characters on television and sometimes it winds up haunting them. Between a Lars von Trier movie and 'Battleship,' is there a plan in place so you're not known as Eric Northman the rest of your life? Or maybe you want to be known as that? Well [pauses], it's not so much like a career move or a strategy that I have. It's more... I need that. Like, creatively. Of course, after 'True Blood,' I get a lot of scripts that are similar to 'True Blood' or very similar to Eric Northman -- because people want to pigeonhole you. So it's the same character, but in a movie set or whatever. First of all, of course it's not a good career move to do that, because then you become that. You'll get typecast doing that forever. That's creative suicide. But it's also, for me -- I'm not going to do a good job if I do something I've done 25 times before. Because I won't be inspired; I won't be encouraged. There's nothing in that script or in that role that I'll discover. I mean, it's already there, I know what I'm doing. I'll just go there and I'll show up and I'll be whatever I've been for the past 'X' amount of years. So that's why I actively look for guys like Michael in this movie, who is so different than Eric Northman. How Can they typecast this actor? He is a good vamp but he's good at everything. I'm curious how much input you have in this: During the first season of 'True Blood,' I found Eric a bit frightening, but I feel like there's something more appealing about him in recent seasons -- even when he does something frightening, I still want to be his friend. Maybe it's the hair. Well, that's what I loved about it. When people watch something, they're lazy. So they want to label the characters. Oh, "the hero." "The girl." "The villain." And they sit back and it's very convenient, you know? And what I loved about Eric -- I always love when it's because life is more complicated than that. In movies, I always love when there's darkness in the protagonist. You know? And there's goodness in the antagonist. When there's more of a grey zone than just black and white. What I love about Eric is that when you meet him, he's introduced as "the villain." And the audience is like, "All right, very well, here's the evil sheriff." But then, after a while, you're like, "Oh, wait a minute, that was kind of nice, why did he do that?" And I love that, that people had to revisit, "Oh, shit, well, actually, maybe he's not just the villain." But, of course, when people see a vulnerability that he can be weak and sensitive and kind and loyal... it is tough, because you still want him to be dangerous; he's still a predator -- so you can't emasculate him too much. I know love scenes on set are nothing but professional. But is it at all different when the other two members of the scene are married in real life? Not really. We're good friends and professional actors. All three of us. So we know what we're doing. And it's like, I love Anna [Paquin] to death, but Steve [Moyer] obviously knows that our friendship is very platonic. So, sometimes it's more awkward if you don't know them. Steve knows that I'm not a threat. Well, I'd be more like, "Oh, I hope I'm not imposing." Nah. And Steve was very sweet before we got in to all of that stuff. He said to me, "Dude, I just want you to know that I want you to feel comfortable with this and it's not awkward at all. I love you and I know there's no one I'd rather have doing these scenes with Anna and me because we're friends. It's not awkward at all and I don't want you to hold back because then that's going to be weird. Like, do what you have to do." It was very great of him to say that. Men's Health has fitness tips from Stephen, and we can see that he knows his stuff.
Moyer’s Essex upbringing informed his approach to fitness as he drank and smoked his way through his twenties and most of his thirties. But True Blood’s steamy Louisiana setting required plenty of clothes-free action so he had to shape up, and fast. “I didn’t want my kids to look back at the show in 20 years’ time and go, ‘Who’s that slobby git? Oh it’s you, Dad.’” But his attitude to training was very different from his US co-stars. “I’m an English boy,” he says. “I played a lot of sports growing up, but I never had any kind of routine.” So now he swears by personal trainers to motivate him. “I don’t go at it if I don’t have someone making me. Half of what a trainer does is make you feel shame if you don’t show up.” Shamed or not, it worked for Moyer, as the countless websites testify. And if he’s ever lacking drive he can also dwell on the fact that his True Blood co-star Ryan Kwanten is well known for his washboard stomach. “His character walks into a room and takes his shirt off. That’s a normal entrance.” As with his career, persistence is the real key to staying fit in your forties. “There’s no immediate pay off,” he says. “Sometimes it feels like it’s taking forever to see results. It takes commitment and time, but when you start to see results – when you feel a bit leaner or you’re doing more reps – you start to think, ‘Wow, I can see a difference!’ And it’s palpable. I recommend it.”

Looking ruggedly handsome and possibly taking attention away from the models on stage, True Blood heartthrob Joe Manganiello was spotted in head-to-toe G-Star at last night’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in New York. DenimHunt Joe Talks to TVline- The HBO drama’s upcoming fifth season will be packed with werewolves, and the man beast leading the resurgence — Joe Manganiello (a.k.a. Alcide) — ischamping at the bit to get started. “Oh my god, I can’t f—ing wait,” he enthused to TVLine at the after-party for this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show (airing Nov. 29 on CBS). ”The fact that they’re basically busy casting an entire new pack of werewolves is unbelievable. There’s going to be like a werewolf show within the show this this year, so I’m like a kid about it!” Among the lycanthropes making tracks to Bon Temps: late pack leader Marcus’ mother, Annie (played byWinter’s Bone standout Dale Dickey); a hot young she-wolf named Rikki; and a hard-bodied fiftysomething named J.D. who sounds suspiciously like Alcide’s never-before-seen father. “It may not be what you expect,” teases Manganiello of the character, adding, “Alcide’s dad is in [Charlaine Harris' fifth Sookie novel]. Whether or not he makes an appearance… well, that’s a question for [executive producer] Alan [Ball].” (With reporting by Matt Webb Mitovich)

Nick Knight is our host for the 2 month post mark of our group, he will help fill the void left by True Blood.
This 800 year old vampire tries to make up for all his evil doing by becoming, wait for it...a homicide detective in Toronto. Lucky for him he never has to change shifts like other popo and has a permanent gig on the night shift. The one person who knows about him is the department's pathologist who gets him out of the daylight by saying he has a severe allergy to sunlight. Poor Nick, he wants to regain his mortality and his vampire friends won't let him, the crowd he ran with wants him back. When you have vamps as the main characters anything else can seem easily believable so it was easy to love this show and the sexy lead actor, Geraint Wynn Davies. The show ran from 1992 to 1996, depending on where you viewed it. When it first was on many of us olds thought it was very familiar and it was. The show was based on a CBS movie from '89 with Rick Springfield, see how he rolls in this video, love the '80's.
I could watch these videos all day, but it's TB time and let's roll to 2011. Season 5 Episode spoilers and some speculation on the new episode titles from IMDB- #1 "Turn, Turn, Turn"- I think this will pick up right after the finale of season 4, the Halloween episode. The title can refer to many things, changes mainly and taking them in stride or not. It is a good Autumn tune, don't you think, the leaves changing, the daily temperatures and Bill and Eric forced to be besties on the run. There's also big changes coming up for the werewolf community with Marcus' death and the Pack Master challenge that will come up as a result. So Manganiello should be front and center in this season more than he was last. #2 "The Beyond of the Bubble Gum"- I am hoping this title is going to be changed, just doesn't sound right. Don't forget fall is when school starts up again, makes sense with the spoilers of Jess at a frat party. Maybe it's linked up with this kiddie plot of the Sookie flashback spoiler from last month and the premiere info is off, just a guess- The season-five premiere of True Blood will have a flashback to Sookie’s (Anna Paquin) childhood, and we get to see her use her powers in a deliciously evil way to embarrass a couple of playground bullies. What did they do to piss her off? They don’t pick her for their kickball team! That is a wound that burns deep forever, kids…so be nice when playing kickball! #3 "It's New Year"- could point to the actual new year, January 1, or a new school year. Hmm, need more info. From Spoiler Chat- Jody in Crown Point, Ind.: I know True Blood is starting up again soon. Got anything?Gold stars for keeping track of TB's shooting schedule! "Three more weeks and we're baaack!" Janina Gavankar sings to us. "We just got out first script. It is intense. As you can imagine, stuff goes crazy right off the bat!" Unfortunately, that's pretty much all we got out of her, since True Blood loves to keep their spoilers secret…even from the cast! "They tell us nothing," she admits. "We actually have no idea. All I can promise is drama right off the top." I missed this photo from September of Alex at a Mulberry event in NYC.
He is featured in the December issue of ElleUk and the scans of the article are here on Suzi's Tumblr and the Nester's at trueblood-news.com have the text up at their link. Here's a bit- On fame and vanity: Skarsgård claims to be a reluctant heart-throb. He scrunches up his face at the label. “Euggggh. Of course it’s flattering, but I prefer compliments about my acting. There’s too much vanity in Hollywood. Vanity is suicide for an actor. Your creativity will die if you focus on looking good. It’s one of the main reasons I don’t look at gossip about me online.” Just to push him, I ask what he says to compliments about his chest and arms. “thank you?” he says, slightly desperately. He looks mortified. On love, relationships and Kate Bosworth: Although their two-year relationship recently ended (neither will discuss why publicly, he says), he is convincing when rolling out the “we’re still good friends” platitude. “I’ve got nothing but love for her. She’s amazing, a great actress and person.” Is he happier single or in relationships? “If it’s right, love is amazing. I’ve been very happy in relationships, very miserable in relationships, very happy single. I’m not stressing about it, but I want to get married and have children. I come from a family with six younger siblings. I love kids. That day will come. I’ve got plenty of time.”
Vote for True Blood at the People's Choice Award site. Mediabistro.com has more info on the ongoing comic series that was posted here previously. HBO show creator Alan Ball gave this statement in the release: “With this new ongoing series, Truebies will be able to find a new comic in stores every month. We’ll also have even more room to create in-depth drama and further explore the world of Bon Temps.” The first issue of the new series is slated for release in spring 2012. So far, IDW has published three True Blood series: All Together Now, Tainted Love and The French Quarter. Stephen lists his favorite places, My LA to Z: Stephen Moyer from LAmag.com, here's a couple- Airport Park-The dog park there is great because it feels like it's been designed for dogs by their owners, which I like. Santa Monica/Venice Beach-
I love to hire a bike and go down to Santa Monica pier and cycle up the boardwalk all the way to the Marina del Rey peninsula and back again. Down by the pier there are ten steel rings hanging from a giant frame in front of the trapeze bars. Basically, it’s giant monkey bars for grownups. I go down there and I absolutely love it. The truth is, it’s kind of the reason that I moved to the Westside. If you haven’t seen the crazies doing the drum circle in Venice, it’s a thing to behold.
Interview with Joe from the Philippine Star in Hong Kong. Here's one nugget- On Joe’s first day last Nov. 1 were roundtable interviews and a presscon at the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong with the regional media, including The STAR. He talked about his breakout role, how he snagged the part and how he waited for over a decade for a break like this. Joe, himself, is fascinated with Alcide. “The struggle for the werewolf is that inside, there’s this beast, this destructive power, but that side of him is also connected to a great power. Sookie is a catalyst, who forces him to get him into trouble. There’s a hero that emerges when he does that, but there’s also that monster. And that’s very scary for him. It’s a fascinating character for a man to play — a character like that is a homerun.”
Ryan's Mambo Promos are kicking off, this is from Instyle.com, they have links to purchase products- True Blood fans don’t necessarily associate actor Ryan Kwanten with clothes—in the role of town heartthrob Jason Stackhouse he spends much of his screen time sans threads. However, he loves them, asthe native Australian signed up to be the face of Mambo for its North American debut in Bon-Ton stores. “Mambo has a sense of humor that I really relate to,” Kwanten tells InStyle.com of why he loves the surf and skate brand. As part of his gig, he will also create two designs for the label.“I’m giving myself some time to work them out,” he says. “It’s a matter of getting my imagination onto a T-shirt.” In the meantime, check out the Mambo line, which includes shirts, bags, hoodies, hats and more for $18 to $50, at bonton.com now. It will be a while before we see King Russell again, he is taking it slow till True Blood comes back. He has a lot of plotting and planning to do, vamping ain't easy after all. It's only week 7 of this hiatus and I'm already feeling like it's been forever since TB was on the tube. Christopher Lee's Dracula will be our host to get us through the rest of the post Halloween week in this post Russell Edgington world. It's Hammer time! The studio that brought us some of the best Vampire and horror tales, including The Brides of Dracula, Dracula: Prince of Darkness, Dracula Has Risen from the Grave,Taste the Blood of Dracula, Scars of Dracula, Dracula AD, The Satanic Rites of Dracula, The Legend of the Golden Vampires. Since Alan Ball is doing his own thing in reference to the source books, he might as well bring in a good gothVan Helsing type. How cool would that be?
Did you see Kristin Bauer in Sunday's "Once Upon a Time"? She talked to AOLTV about the part, which was smaller than I liked. There are other interviews in the last couple of posts here, I love me some Pam. Longer read at the link.
Fairy tale fans, make room for Maleficent!
True Blood''s resident bitch in heels, Kristin Bauer van Straten, is stopping by 'Once Upon a Time' (Sun., Oct. 30, 8PM ET on ABC) to play someone even witchier. Maleficent is best known as the dark and twisted villainess of 'Sleeping Beauty,' but on ABC's new fairy tale drama, she'll face off with Lana Parilla's Evil Queen.
I'm so happy to see you doing something fun and a bit evil on your hiatus. I'm already missing my Pam. Aw, that's so nice -- me too! But I read the first script the other night, and it was really like, "Oh wow, we're going back into Pam world." I'm very excited. Now I know what's going to happen in episode 1 of Season 5 ... it's pretty freaking exciting. That first table read is gonna be social hour.
Don't tease me. Isn't it horrible? It's really cruel! Every storyline was a cliffhanger [last season] ... I love it. Those guys let you stretch every year. Interesting writing is so lucky for an actor.
And now you've got the 'Lost' guys writing an evil witch part for you. Exactly! I mean, how lucky am I? Really, this sort of "evil bitch" typecasting is the most awesome thing in the world. I'm so OK with it -- the clothing, the dialogue, the scene partners, the fantastical worlds. The whole thing is just ... I just want to live here forever, just all year-round.
So we know you exist in the fairy tale universe, but do we get to see you in Storybrooke at all? We don't yet. I'm endlessly fascinated with what they're going to do with the show, and with all these characters that are so amazing and the great actors ... and it's the 'Lost' people so, you know, you expect to be invested and surprised.
You said "yet" ... does that mean that we'll get to see more of you? Yeah, I don't know how it's gonna work out with 'True Blood' and shooting schedules and what they decide to do with the show, but it's open. It'd be fun [to do more] ... I had a really great time with Lana and would love to have more fun with her.
GQ.com: Joe Manganiello told us that working on True Blood was "like being a kid on Halloween every day". Is that accurate? Deborah Ann Woll: Less candy, but just as much blood probably. I love it. I would go on set every day if they let me. But I'd probably just get in the way. Do you see many people dressed up as Jessica for Halloween? I do! People often will send pictures of their Jessica costumes to the Facebook fan page that we run. They do a good job. A lot of people are dying their hair - go redheads! It's interesting too to see that they pick. Some will do the Merlotte's waitress uniform, a lot will do the yellow dress from season two and this year we got one of a girl who wore this great plaid shirt over a little bustier from season four. You'll see...
Do you know you've made it when you're inspiring Halloween costumes?
I guess so. I sort of knew I'd made it when Google stopped autocorrecting my name. It used to change "Woll" into "Wool". Suddenly, one day Google recognised me and I knew everything was good.
What's the best costume you've seen at Comic-Con?
Everything at Comic-Con is strange but endearing at the same time. I have a real love for geek culture so it all seems kind of wonderful to me. One thing I did learn which is fascinating is about the stormtrooper outfits, which seem pretty commonplace. But LucasFilm has not released the rights for that costume so you cannot buy a stormtrooper costume in a store: you have to make it. So if you see a stormtrooper walking around, theymoulded that plastic themselves. That gets my vote for the best costume at any Comic-Con because that is above and beyond.
Whorelips: I know it's a little early, but what about some exclusive scoop on #TrueBlood? Never too early for True Blood scoop. The season-five premiere of True Blood will have a flashback to Sookie's (Anna Paquin) childhood, and we get to see her use her powers in a deliciously evil way to embarrass a couple of playground bullies. What did they do to piss her off? They don't pick her for their kickball team! That is a wound that burns deep forever, kids…so be nice when playing kickball! Jarrod in Bloomington, Ind.: I heard season five will be the last one for True Blood. Tell me it's not true. I will flip out! Not according to Stephen Moyer, and he's a pretty important guy on T.B. "There is certainly enough material for us to keep going and going," he tells us. "And as you know, television contracts are six years, so I don't think there is any need for it to be the last season. I don't see any need or reason for it to stop when it is as successful as it is." Feel better?
Movieweb.com has Carrie Preston's reaction to the first script of Season 5, first Kristin spoke and now Carrie, wheeeee!
As Arlene Fowler,Carrie Prestonhas served as Merlotte's top waitress for the pastfour seasons, while also maintaining a strongbondwith Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin). She's also had the divine distinction of birthing what many thought to be a demon baby.True Blood Season 4ended this past summer with a few shockers.Carriehas recently gotten her hands on the script forSeason 5's debut episode, and she assures us that fans will be pleased with the outcome.
"As you know, I'm not allowed to say anything. I will say, I have read the first script. It is very exciting. It's up to the usualTrue Bloodstandards with epic proportions of new characters and drama, and comedy. You know...Romance and everything else you've come to expect...I am excited to see where it will all go myself. We start shooting right after Thanksgiving. You will definitely get some questions answered right off the bat. Then, of course, a million more questions will come up, and those will propel us through the rest of the season, I am sure. But yes, the fans will definitely be satiated almost immediately." WhileCarrie Prestoncouldn't divulge any pertinent story details, she did offer some insight into where she'd like to see her character go inTrue Blood Season 5.
"Well, you know...We left it off where there was this mysterious guy that has come back into Terri's life. That is being played byScott Foley. It will be interesting to see how that will start to impact the home life. I trust that the writers andAlan Ballwill take the role to places that I can't even imagine. I try not to speculate. Because I would never have thought that I would have gotten pregnant, and that I would have a demon baby. But it's not a demon baby, its possessed by a ghost. If I tried to dream that up? I couldn't have. I just put myself in their very capable hands. And I enjoy the ride." Though she hasn't been privy to any new casting announcements,Carrie Prestonhas revealed that there will be quite a few new characters this next year, when the series returns.
"I have no idea (about the casting). I am sure there will be surprises. There are new characters in the script, in just that first episode alone. I have no idea who will be playing them. We tend to beef up our already large cast with really wonderful guest players. I am assuming thatTrue Blood Season 5won't be any different than what they've done in terms of that previously. Be sure to catchCarrie Prestonthis Sunday, when she returns to reprise her role asattorneyElsbeth Tascioni onThe Good Wife.
The men in the "True Blood" cast are especially bromantic, and it's awesome. (My favorite example: That scene in the season three finale, when Eric says to Alcide and Bill: "If you two are done eye-f---ing each other, can we go?") In addition to Alexander Skarsgård recently hinting at more Bill-Eric moments, MTV News had a chance encounter with Stephen Moyer, who's equally enthused about the idea.
Before we approached Stephen with the bromance angle, however, we wondered if he'd had a chance to read the season five scripts yet, which we knew were delivered to the cast members recently.
"How did you hear that?" a suspicious Stephen asked when we chatted with him at TeenNick's HALO Awards. (We're MTV, yo. We've got people.) "Yes we did [get them]. I haven’t read it yet. I haven’t had a moment to. It’s been busy the last few weeks and days, so I haven’t had a chance," he admitted. "I was talking about it today, I really must. Anna [Paquin] hasn’t read it either."
Now onto the pressing question: Will we see more of the bromance between Bill and Eric develop next season?"
My missus got to have a go with him last year, so I think it’s my turn," Stephen said with a smile. "I know [Alex] is very excited about that."

British actress Lucy Griffiths is coming to America in abigway.
The 25-year-old stunner — best known for her role as the ill-fated Marian in the BBC dramaRobin Hood— is joiningTrue Blood‘s Season 5 cast as a series regular.
Griffiths will playNora, Eric’s (Alexander Skarsgard) centuries-old vampire “sister” (they were both progenies of Godric) who is working as a double agent within the Vampire Authority. Described as intelligent, intimidating, cool under pressure and a very good liar, Nora loves Eric deeply, but has dedicated her life to a higher purpose.
The gig marks Griffiths’ first big break stateside after several near misses. Most recently, she was among the leads in The CW’s zombie thriller pilotAwakening, but the show was not ordered to series.
True Blood‘s fifth season starts production later this year ahead of a Summer 2012 premiere.

The Metro has a good interview with Joe, the things he did for roles-
Joe Manganiello: I shaved my head and pulled my teeth out for a role
What’s the appeal of the show?
It’s the sexiest show ever made. It combines great humour with heartfelt drama and a level of kinkiness that’s unmatched. Aside from that, it’s smart and well written. It’s about more than vampires and werewolves but that, and the sex and blood and shock value, makes for a good time.
It has raised your profile as an actor – are you enjoying that?
It’s amazing. It’s changed my life. Of all the things you can become recognised for I’m very happy it’s this show. A lot of the things I did in drama school and theatre have been pretty out there and racy, which prepared me for this show.
What sort of things?
I shaved my head at drama school and pulled my teeth out for a role. I like to do things to get the heart racing. I did an Off-Broadway show that involved full frontal nudity – I’ve always gravitated to challenging projects. It’s interesting now that the things pushing boundaries are shows oncableTV, whereas film has become more conservative.
Does a show like this put casting directors off considering you for non-nude roles?
No, because the show is watched by most of the industry. I constantly meet actors and directors who love the show. It’s not a fluffy vampire, fairy, werewolf show. There’s a lot going on with the relationships. There are a lot of ongoing plotlines. I believe if Tennessee Williams was alive today he’d be writing a vampireTVshowset in the Deep South.
What’s the worst acting job you’ve done?
I shot 65 episodes of a South American telenovela that had been translated into English by people who weren’t writers – they were bilingual. It was awful but I needed to pay the bills. It was so ridiculous I had to start laughing at it.
Did it make you consider giving up acting?
I just tried not to think about it. I thought: ‘One day I’ll look back on this and laugh.’
Have you met any wacky fans?
We have the most loyal, passionate fans but also some freaky ones. I get some pretty wild requests but it’s all good fun: women who have heard of the healing properties of wolf saliva who want me to lick them.
What inspired you to become an actor?
I was an artistic kid and drew and wrote stories. I didn’t really want to get on to the stage. My high school had video cameras the students could use and me and my friends would shoot our own movies at weekends. I loved it and it was a way to express myself artistically.
I grew up in Pittsburgh in a very working-class area. It’s a big football town and I was always bigger than the other kids and always played sport – so the idea was I’d go into sport rather than do something artistic for a living.
I had a series of injuries that affected my sporting activities and teachers suggested I try out for the high school musical instead. As a result, I got a scholarship to one of the best dramatic training schools in the country and I haven’t looked back.
Have you ever had a supernatural experience?
I wonder about ghosts. I’ve seen some things that freak me out a little. I lived in an apartment building in Hollywood and there were strange noises and weird sensations in the atmosphere. I heard other people in the building talking about experiencing the same thing. I moved out as soon as I could.
