Hot in the City

A happy Pam isn't one we've seen for awhile so I'm liking this photo from HBO, a lot.
From Eonline today- True Blood First Look: Who Dug Up the Vampire King?
"You know what? You're the angel of death."
Another day, another body to bury. Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis) sets the mood for the new season of True Blood with a stern lecture to his best friend Sookie, claiming that bodies pile up wherever she goes. Harsh, but true. And since Russell Edgington (Denis O'Hare) is back and pissed off, we can expect a much higer body count this time around…
The big question is: Who dug up the former King of Mississippi? Lots of suspects to consider, and Eric  doesn't trust any of them. And Russell is clearly out for revenge, because as Roman says: "Suffering does not cure the appetite for power." And Russell wants to gorge on human blood, oh that kidder.

If you watch Grimm, and you should, next season you'll see our own cracra Franklin, James Frain, as the Captain's (Sasha Roiz) bro. Source

I can't wait for True Blood to come back. Is Tara dead? Please say yes. I am so over her. — Denny
NATALIE: We literally can't answer this question, lest Alan Ball has us all staked. But we can tell you that the title of the season premiere is "Turn! Turn! Turn!" which is a song of Biblical extraction about profound change, like, say, dying, becoming a vampire or declaring your true sexuality. All three of these things will happen during this hour, but the question is: To whom? (Answer: Not all to the same person.)

More "Jan Behind the Scenes", it's a 15 part webseries on youtube with Stephen Moyer in several of the episodes.

Bullett Magazine's interview with Askars (we posted a video of the photos a week or so ago) is now up in full on their site. It's in full (4 pages) at the link.
“Eric runs into someone very special,” says Skarsgård, referring to the new character, Nora (played by British actor Lucy Griffiths), Eric’s sister and a member of the Vampire Authority, a council of powerful bloodsuckers who control institutionalized vampire-dom across the globe. “There aren’t a lot of human people who Eric really cares about—he’s only loyal to a few,” Skarsgård says. “We saw his passion with his maker Godric, with Pam, and with Sookie. Nora is definitely just as important; she’s played a significant part in his life. She still does.”
Joe Manganiello in Men's Health via Ted C (lol)-Would a Joe Manganiello with flabby abs be as sweet?! "I got to L.A. in 2000, when we were coming off the ‘90s," Joe reveals to the fitness magazine. "Women looked like men and the men all looked like women. I was constantly being told, ‘You're too healthy.' So there were four years where I essentially didn't work as an actor."
It almost sounds too crazy to be true, huh?!

Men's Health has their Best Summer Bodies issue out-
Actor Stephen Moyer may star on True Blood as vampire Bill Compton, but he shares one thing in common with the average mortal. "I find that I don't [work out] if I don't have someone making me," he recently told us. As season five of the hit HBO series gets underway, the 42-year-old actor plans to spend much of his time on screen with his shirt off (although perhaps not as much as co-star Ryan Kwanten). The thought of baring so much skin to millions of viewers was incentive enough to turn up the heat on his typical training gumbo: Push workouts, pull workouts, a little circuit training, some plyometrics and functional work, and a dash of sport-specific training. But his motivation extends beyond mere vanity. "I don't want my kids to look back on the show in 20 years time and go 'who's that slobby git'," says Moyer. photo by James White.

Though his character may lack superpowers, Ryan Kwanten easily boasts the most otherworldly physique of all the cast members on HBO’s True Blood. The 35-year-old actor didn’t sculpt his body working out on machines in an air-conditioned room, either. Kwanten is a competitive triathlete—he was a professional at one time—and prefers taking his workouts to the trails rather than running on Los Angeles’ 7,000 miles of blacktop. "It takes the tedium out of running," he says. "No two steps are the same." And instead of aiming for distance or heart-rate goals, he opts for routes with distinct midpoints. “Whether it’s a high peak or the end of a beach, it’s great to have something you can touch that lets you know you’re halfway there. You don’t find that on a treadmill.” photo by Nino Munez

Russell's HONGRAY.

Let's kick off with some talk about Promo #2 from Sunday night.

Is that Lafayette telling Sookie off or is he channeling Tara, she could still be in vampembryo form in the ground when he is saying this? It could just be Lala speaking his mind as we love him to do but I'm keeping an open mind on this, they have pulled hat tricks before and will again, I'm sure.
Skarsgardfans has screencaps up for the Conjuring S4 video as well as hi-def caps for this latest video (and all the others), so hit up B's site to see more.

The Stakes Are High

Eric doesn't seem too concerned, compared to Bill's WTF is this face.
While those reading should beware spoilers, when last we left ‘True Blood’ at the end of season 4′s “And When I Die,” a number of mysteries were still afoot. Who set loose Russell Edgington from his concrete tomb? Who’s going to clean Tara’s brains off the wall? And who sired Steve Newlin?  Screencrush
Don't forget Sunday on HBO- Join the cast of "True Blood" and relive season 4 on Sunday, May 27th, 6:45 EST, it's a 15 minute special.

That TVGuide article keeps on giving, now a video!-

An interview with new were, Kelli Overton, from Today.com's The Clicker . The photo is from HBO so I would say it's a new image they released or will soon.
There's a sexy new werewolf named Rikki in Bon Temps, but don’t hold your breath for a romance between her and the suddenly single Alcide on the new season of "True Blood."
“All I can say is that everybody knows Alcide (Joe Manganello) is holding a candle for Sookie (Anna Paquin),” Kelly Overton, who plays Rikki on the show this summer, told TODAY.com.
“And who is to say that he is even (Rikki’s) type? She definitely lives life a little more on the edge than he does. It is definitely going to take a unique sort of person/being to catch Rikki’s eye and actually keep her interest.”
Overton -- a former high-school track star and mother of a 1-year-old girl -- describes her character as “tough and resourceful.”
“Rikki is pretty much the polar opposite of a damsel in distress,” she told TODAY.com. “You don’t want to be on her bad side, that is for sure!”
“When we meet Rikki, she is not in the best of moods. Her pack master has gone missing,” Overton explained. “That is a pretty big deal in her world. She is pretty determined. She won’t let anyone or anything get in the way of finding out what happened to him."
Overton also noted that in the upcoming season, viewers will finally meet the Authority, the vampire council that rules over all bloodsuckers.
“We really kind of see the politics and the power struggle between the Authority’s agenda -- which is to drink Tru Blood and mainstream this society with humans. You know, coexist. We see that and the fundamentalist vampires, who are subscribing to beliefs that they are superior to humans. Humans are merely a food source,” she added.
“So this season is really different in that there is a lot of politically charged drama, which is something that always existed within the show, but until now they never really fully explored it and all the impact it will have on the characters. ... There is a lot of characters asking what side are they on.” more at the link above.

Thanks to Tumblr's FyeahJoeManganiello for the scan, he is also in the Hot Bodies issue (we posted Ryan's pic yesterday).
Skarsgardfans saw another version of the Everything is at Stake promo and posted more screencaps. Either this is an I'm sorry Pam or goodbye Pam scene.
Brian has his 30 Greatest True Blood Moments up HERE, I was linking to his videos and recaps (first from Afterelton) at LTV, within a month they were all over because the man is that good. His "Whatever Sookie" moments are hysterical.
As a horror fan since I was a toddler (Zacherle started it) I was a fan of Campblood and when the recaps started, then the vlogs I was in pigblood heaven.
I love a writer who is also a fan of the shows they review and in Brian you have that in spades. His recaps of Dexter are so good with his 'Deb You Taunt" feature so get to Campblood and read.

Rutina Hosts Hiatus Support Group

She looks fabulous. Sex, sex, sex, RAW!
As I re-watch promos I'm starting to think the scene when Lala is yelling at Sookie might be him channeling Tara, which would mean ghostie on board. This is what came to me last night as I was tossing and turning trying to sleep but the new promo definitely shows a vamp coming out of the grave. Maybe it's not the same one or it's from Pam's flashback story of her turning
New promo with more spoilery goodness, wow, see the hand coming out of the grave? Does it mean Tara was turned by that hand's owner or is she really dead? We'll see in 17 days!

All the screencaps you could ever want at Skarsgardfans, muito obrigado Barbara!
Bite her Pam, bite her!
Don't forget updates added all day long!
Can not wait! Fevre Dream but with Abe Lincoln.
5/24 update from Rhoswen7-

Location: L.A.
Start Date: Approx. 5/23/12
[MALE PRISONER] 20s to 40s, FULL FRONTAL NUDITY REQUIRED. He is a prisoner in a dire situation. CO-STAR

New poster on top, reminded me of this old one.
Ryan Kwanten is in the new US Weekly hot body issue via Celebritychatta.

New Cast member and Fairy, Giles Matthey is interviewed on Wetpaint, more at their site-
Wetpaint Entertainment: How did you get involved with True Blood?
Giles Matthey: I was about to fly back to New York ... I was wearing three T-shirts, one turtleneck, and a shirt over top of the turtleneck because my bags were so packed, I couldn’t fit any of the stuff in. I was so sweaty and so hot, and all the other actors looked so good.I did the audition in front of Alan Ball, and then I was on my way to the airport. I was in the security line and my agent gave me a call and said, "You can’t get on the plane because you got the role and you’re in wardrobe tomorrow and they’re shooting the following day."And that really changed my life. Because up until that point I had done a bunch of theater and a guest spot on The Good Wife and an indie film. To get a role that I got is a bit of a dream come true really.
What can you tell us about Claude?
He plays quite a prominent role in the books. But True Blood and the Charlene Harris novels they’re very different and there’s no secret to it. Claude is a fairy and he is related to Sookie’s grandfather who was part fairy or even full fairy.
In the book, he was a really pretty bodybuilder/insane body male stripper and just uber hunk. They’ve gone slightly for a different Claude in picking me [laughs]. I don’t have any muscle mass and I wouldn’t say I’m a hunk of 2012 or anything.
Without giving too much away he kind of goes into Sookie being a fairy and what that means to her and what that means to the fairies in general. He has sisters as well, quite a few sisters.
It will be really interesting to see, because last season, the fairies were portrayed in such a way and it will be interesting to see how the audience views fairies in this up-and-coming season and on.
all of them are here on Facebook.
Love Russell's (with some sour cream)
Nice interview with Jacob Hopkins, our youngest new vamp Alexander Drew. Go to the link for the whole interview give the girl some props-You play a young vampire in True Blood, tell me about your character?  I play Alexander Drew. He is described as impetuous vamp who likes to taunt others. He is basically a trouble maker. He was turned at the age of nine. So I’m like an old man stuck in a little kid’s body. But if you want to talk authority, I’ve got authority – I get to taunt the big guys – I’m that important!
