Part 2 of Season Five Spoilers

This section will be all the pieces scavenged from the net since the finale of season 4.  These posts are long but I'm reading things I totally forgot about (I'm a dork) and found interesting, hope you do also. Hope I didn't miss anything important.

I removed my speculations from the text but they are still in the archives.

Question: OK Mikey (is it alright if I call you that?), now that True Blood has come to an end, please give us some dirt — even the tiniest amount — about next season! —Paige
Ausiello: Season 5 will pick up right where Season 4 left off — with Tara’s brains splattered all over Sookie’s kitchen floor. And to answer your first question, it’s most definitely not alright, Paige.
TVFanatic condensed the EW interview with Raelle Tucker -
We'll meet "a very significant, strong, mysterious woman at the center of one of our main stories next year,” Tucker saysTucker. “It may be someone you’ve heard of before.”
The show will visit the fairy world again - a dropped storyline that angered us in the most recent True Blood Round Table - as the season "will explore more fairies, new fairies, fairies in a way you haven’t really seen fairies."
The wolf that growled at Sam to conclude season four will be identified.
Russell Edgington? He'll return, Tucker confirmed:"It’s safe to assume the king of Mississippi is not gone for good.”
Sookie will remain single.

The consequences of Bill and Eric teaming up to kill Nan "are going to chase them for a while next year.”
Huffpo talks to Kristin about the finale and what might be coming up in S5 for Pam.
In Sunday night's season four finale, the tension between Pam and her maker Eric reached a humorous boiling point when Pam, ever the dramatic, throws a bona fide vamp temper tantrum at Fangtasia, exclaiming, "I am so over Sookie and her precious fairy vagina and her stupid name." And while Pam's less-than-pleasant sentiments may have echoed the thoughts of millions of viewers, it didn't do much to detour Eric from Sookie's "precious fairy vagina"
"He really is the one rock in her life -- the one person she really loves and would do anything for," Bauer told The Huffington Post. "She would die for Eric. That's it for her. He's her maker. He really is her best friend, her daddy, and they just have such a complicated relationship. And she loves being his lieutenant. She doesn't want to be first-in-command, so when he's not there to be her rock, she doesn't like it. That will definitely come into play when we go into Pam and Eric's pasts next season."
But as an actress, Bauer points out, fans are just starting to understand Pam and all of her intricacies as a character -- "part vulnerable, part badass" -- and season five promises to explore Pam's origins even further.
"I loved seeing a vulnerable side to Pam this season, " said Bauer. "As an actor, you want to do something new every year and do something deeper, so it was incredibly fun for me to get to see who she was without Eric because he wasn’t really there for her this season. And then you take away her looks -- her vanity -- and I had no idea how she would react. It’s the same in real life
too. When the sh-t hits the fan, you really discover yourself, and the fact that she becomes a warrior made me love her even more. She could have sat there and cried and felt sorry for herself, but that’s not Pam." Read it all at the link above, it's always good if it's Kristin talking.
I don't think Tara is dead, look at the photo, she's out cold and will need a vamp blood healing but I see no brain bits. Here's another article, this one's from TVLine (the other is from yesterday's blog).-
“I have to say it was actually kind of cool having my brains blown out,” confesses Wesley with a laugh. “All of the special effects and everything… It was cool.”
If she sounds surprisingly chipper for someone who just lost her job on one of TV’s most successful shows, it’s probably because well…she didn’t actually lose her job. In the following Q&A with TVLine, Wesley confirms that she will be back for True Blood‘s fifth season — but that’s only half the story.
TVLINE | When did you first find out Tara was getting shot in the head?
[Series creator] Alan Ball himself pulled me aside early on and told me that this was happening. And I was like, ‘OK, that’s cool.’ I know I’m coming back in some capacity, I just don’t know how I’m coming back. It’s scary as an actor to be in that position. Whatever they do, I think it’s the Golden Hour for Tara. But I don’t know how they’re going to revive me or if I’m dead. And that’s the big question: Can she be saved?

TVLINE | Has your contract option for Season 5 been officially picked up?
Yes. I know I’m coming back. I just don’t know in what capacity.

TVLINE | If she is brought back to life, it seems unlikely she’ll just be the same old Tara.
I like playing a human on the show. I like not having any powers. I like being the voice of reason. But it wouldn’t be a drama if we didn’t have a shift in things. Everything’s up in the air because half of my head is missing. [Laughs] I know Alan has big plans for me next season. But has he shared those plans with me? Not really.

TVLINE | Have you entertained the idea that she might become a vampire?
Not really. Some of my fans actually talked about that a couple years ago. They were like, “Wouldn’t it be great if Tara became a badass vampire? Wouldn’t that be amazing?” But as I said, I like being human. [Laughs] We don’t have that many on the show. And then I’d have to figure out how to talk with the fangs and all that crazy stuff. But with that kind of injury, even if I got the vampire blood could that really save me? I don’t know.

It's just a flesh wound!

Some scoopage from EW's InsideTVBlog
Since the citizens of Bon Temps dropped like flies (RIP Jesus, Marnie, Nan, and possibly Tara) on True Blood's finale, season 5 will introduce fresh meat and showcase some familiar faces. “There will be a very significant, strong, mysterious woman at the center of one of our main stories next year,” says co-executive producer Raelle Tucker. “That will be a very familiar and compelling character. It may be someone you’ve heard of before.” We will also once again visit the fairy world touched upon at the beginning of season 4. Says Tucker, “Season 5 will explore more fairies, new fairies, fairies in a way you haven’t really seen fairies. We will all, as well as Sookie, come to understand fairies more than in previous seasons.”
Scott Foley’s Patrick, who we met in the finale, will bring trouble to Terry (Todd Lowe) and Arlene (Carrie Preston). Says Tucker, “His arc has to do with Terry’s past coming back to haunt Bon Temps and Arlene and their life they’re trying to set up together.” The identity of the wolf seen growling at Sam (Sam Trammell) in the final moments will be revealed — and, according to Tucker, is “someone you have never met before.” Tucker, who wrote the season finale, won’t confirm, though, if said werewolf is Alcide’s (Joe Manganiello) father, Jackson, who is featured in book 5 of Charlaine Harris’ Sookie Stackhouse novels. The unearthed King of Mississippi, Russell Edgington (Denis O’Hare), will be back. “Russell is not dead,” says Tucker. “It’s safe to assume the king of Mississippi is not gone for good.” Also look for former Fellowship of the Sun leader — and now vampire — Steve Newlin (Michael McMillian).  Teases Tucker, “I will say that Steve’s reason for returning to Jason is not at all what you expect.”
Then there’s Sookie, who blew off three supernatural hunks to be alone. Fans of Eric (Alexander Skarsgård) and Sookie’s romance will be sad to know that her independent streak will continue next year. “While there will always be romance in Sookie’s life, Sookie at the moment is choosing herself over all of them,” reveals Tucker. “I think that will continue to play into season 5.“ At least there’s the potential for a new bromance — or a Thelma & Louise-style fugitive friendship — between Eric and Bill (Stephen Moyer) now that they’ve killed Nan Flanagan (Jessica Tuck). Teases Tucker, “The consequences of their actions in the finale are going to chase them for a while next year.”
Rutina talks to EW's InsideTV about the finale and Tara's future, the whole read is at the link.
ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: What did you think when you read the season finale script?
RUTINA WESLEY: Well I mean, I knew ahead of time that it was coming. It’s always a scary place as an actor to go there. I don’t know what their plans are for next season. I know that Alan has said there are “big plans,” but I don’t know what that really means, and things can always change. I’m not for sure, but I trust him completely. At the end of the day, it’s hard to see how I’m coming back, seeing as half of my head was just blown off. I don’t know. They may figure something out. I mean it’s True Blood. There’s always flashbacks. There’s phantasms. There’s all this crazy stuff. It’s very possible. But I’m excited either way. If it does all end, I’ve had the most amazing time of my life. It’s really great.
In your mind, is Tara dead?
Well I mean half my head is missing. I’m just gonna keep saying that. You know, it’s
True Blood. I feel like anything is possible. If anything, it is the golden hour though. If she is able to be saved, it’s like she’s got 20 seconds. It’s not a lot of time. I’m curious to see what they’re going to do with all of it. I hope I’m back. But again half my head is missing [laughs].
Maybe Tara will just wear a lot of hats?
Yeah I mean yeah she can wear a lot of hats. Put some gauze on it. But people are going crazy! [
Laughs]
Are you signed on for a season 5?
Yeah. It’s out there that Alan has already said that he has big plans for Tara. But things change. I don’t know exactly what they have in store for me and how long that will be. It’s tricky. And if I did know, I’m just not going to say. [
Laughs] But again — half the head is missing. The cool part is people are talking. And that’s the question is: Is she dead or is she not? Because people can survive head wounds. But we have people on the show that can make things happen — you know what I mean? I don’t know what’s going to happen the first episode of next season. I’m just as excited and curious you are. I hope it’s good. I hope I stick around for a while. That would be nice. [Laughs]
Kristin was interviewed yesterday by NYMag's Vulture Blog, arent y'all glad they jumped on the TB bandwagon this season?
Pre Vampire Pam, a Victorian Hooker Perhaps?
True Blood’s Kristin Bauer is making the Fashion Week rounds, and at the Frye flagship opening party on Friday she hinted at what to expect for Pam in the season finale on Sunday: “I have sort of a cliffhanger. I definitely wouldn’t say that Pam’s situation gets better this season before the end of the year,” she told Vulture. “I’m really dying to see the first script for season five. So I’m not feeling relaxed and calm; I’m like, Oh my God, what happens next?
Bauer did offer up one nugget about next season: “Alan [Ball] said that I would get my flashback, my making, you know, when Eric made me.” And she’s already creating scenarios for what that may be like. “I’m imagining; it’s all in my head, a combination of the books and other things that I’m putting together. Each vampire gets that flashback, and so I’m picturing little snippets. Like, there was a line: ‘I’m not a hooker,’ that was a long time ago. So I’m like, okay, maybe she’s a hooker. And then it would be, like, the Victorian era, so I’m picturing a Victorian-era hooker. And then I have this other thing where Eric saves Pam, so I’ve got some alley, hooker, Victorian costume,” she laughed.
From Wetpaint, the whole interview at the link-
Just in time for a little pre-Halloween frightfest, Wetpaint Entertainmentasked Janina Gavankar, who plays shapeshifter Luna, what we can expect from next season. “With a show like True Blood, anything can happen, but I promise you there will be more blood, more sex, and more cliff hangers,” Janina told us in an exclusive interview at the Paley Center for Media's "An Evening with FX’s The League" (which the multi-talented actress also stars in). Every new season seems to bring another terrifying or tantalizing new creature and the upcoming one won’t disappoint, she revealed.
“I think I know what new creature is going to be introduced next season, I can’t tell you but I know you’ll love it,” she teased. “It’s most definitely frightening!”“I think there are different versions of different kinds of creatures, there's a were-panther, which was a different kind of were-creature than I’d ever heard of but is makes sense as it’s just the cat version of a werewolf, which is a dog.”
WMagazine has a current interview with Rutina- You just got your brains blown out in the season finale a few weeks ago. Was that fun?
That was awesome! (laughs, ruefully) It was bittersweet. It was a very hard scene to shoot. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house. But it was really cool, because I was like, This is awesome because I get to do all this stuff like blood and yay…and then it was like, What’s happening to my character? Am I alive or am I dead? So it’s a very scary place to be in, but it’s awesome.
TVLINE has some goodies too!
The fifth season of True Blood promises to be a hairy one — the show is hunting for actors to play werewolves galore, including one who sounds suspiciously like he could be Alcide’s father!
The lycanthrope in question, J.D., is said to be a hard-bodied fiftysomething who isn’t likely to share a water bowl with the new pack leader anytime soon. And since 1) that sounds a lot like Alcide to begin with, and 2) his pop features prominently in Charlaine Harris’ fifth Sookie novel, well, you can do the math! My picks to play the part? Maybe Andy Garcia? Mitch Pileggi, who just took another recurring role in the Dallas reboot… or what about Mr. Intensity himself, Vincent D’Onofrio?
We’ll also be meeting: former pack leader Marcus’ mother, Annie; a hot young she-wolf named Rikki who’s determined to sniff out the deceased’s fate; a couple of beta dogs charged with interrogating someone (my guess? Sam); Holly’s teenage sons, Rocky and Wade; a corrupt judge (aren’t they all?); a humorless vamp named Cat (to… balance out the canine/feline ratio?); and a couple of sexy spoilers for Jason and Jessica’s romance.
Add all that to what we already knew — that Salome (yes, the Salome) will feature prominently in the season, and so will Eric’s vamp sis, Nora — and it’s obvious that we’re in for another jam-packed season.
Teeny bit from Eonline's Kristin
Reagan: Any True Blood scoop? I am missing Alexander and his hot shirtlessness.
Wait, Alexander has gone shirtless? When? A source tells me Alan Ball is tearing down the Moongoddess set right now, so witches are definitely out for the upcoming season. We happy about this?
Here's the interview Raelle did after the finale, also with EW Season 5 preview-
Since the citizens of Bon Temps dropped like flies (RIP Jesus, Marnie, Nan, and possibly Tara) onTrue Blood‘s surprising finale, season 5 will introduce fresh meat and showcase some familiar faces. “There will be a very significant, strong, mysterious woman at the center of one of our main stories next year,” says co-executive producer Raelle Tucker. “That will be a very familiar and compelling character. Teases Tucker, “The consequences of their actions in the finale are going to chase them for a while next year.”
True Blood Fan Source has an interview with Denis-
Russell Edgington is one of the most popular characters in the True Blood series in part because of the way you played him. In the season 4 finale, Russell was freed from the concrete. What are you looking forward to or hoping to doing when filming resumes for season 5?
We have great writers on True Blood so I know I’m in good hands.  Anything I could come up with would pale in comparison with what they’ll invent.
We have casting news from a few different sources, let's start with the one from EW.
Creator Alan Ball and his team of scribes have put out a casting call for someone to play Nora, a beautiful and intelligent 25-to-35 something who plays a double agent within the Vampire Authority. What’s even better than that? She’s got a big history with Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) because she’s a progeny of Godric. Nora will be a series regular role that may (or may not) involve a little nudity. (It IS True Blood, after all).
Meanwhile, Co-Executive Producer Raelle Tucker told EW that they’ll include a “very significant, strong, mysterious woman at the center of one of our main stories next year … a very familiar and compelling character. It may be someone you’ve heard of before.” Especially if you’ve read the Bible: The True Blood team also put out the call for someone to play Salome, as in THE Salome, daughter of Herodias, from the good book. She’s a powerful ancient vampire (hmm, don’t remember that part from the New Testament) and a world-class seductress who’s also a little mad. So she’ll fit right into Bon Temps.
From an interview Askars did with Bullett Mag-
I signed a six-year contract, so they have the option to keep me for those six years if they want.
If you decided to leave at the end of your contract, they’d have to find a way to kill off your character—but he’s already dead.

Collider has an interview with Denis OHare up, it's mostly about American Horror Story, you can and should read the whole thing at the link.
As much as you must have been asked, over the last season, whether or not Russell Edgington would return on True Blood, was exciting to finally have that door opened for this coming season?
O’HARE: Hell, yes! I had been hearing rumors and things, but until I actually heard that there was a script, in which they went to the parking lot and found a hole in the ground and chains, I wasn’t sure. I’ve been in contact with people fromTrue Blood, and I’m friends with a lot of them, and Joe Manganiello, who plays Alcide, actually told me first. He was like, “Dude, there’s this scene where I go to the parking lot and you’re not there anymore,” and I went, “Yes!” I’m really thrilled. I love that family. Alan Ball is such a spectacular person to be around and to work for. I’m really excited to get to go back and join them, and I love the character. I can’t wait to pick up where he left off.
Have you thought about how he could be now, with the time that’s passed?
O’HARE: He could change. His experience has, maybe, redefined him and shaped him differently.
Are you surprised with how much everyone truly loved the character?
O’HARE: I was. I didn’t expect it, and I was a little shocked, but ultimately, I’m really pleased. It’s a very nice thing to have happen. I was really thrilled.
Eonline's Kristin has this bitsie in her Spoiler Chat Blog-
Whorelips: I know it's a little early, but what about some exclusive scoop on #TrueBlood?
Never too early for True Blood scoop. The season-five premiere of True Blood will have a flashback to Sookie's (Anna Paquin) childhood, and we get to see her use her powers in a deliciously evil way to embarrass a couple of playground bullies. What did they do to piss her off? They don't pick her for their kickball team! That is a wound that burns deep forever, kids…so be nice when playing kickball!

Jarrod in Bloomington, Ind.: I heard season five will be the last one for True Blood. Tell me it's not true. I will flip out!
Not according to Stephen Moyer, and he's a pretty important guy on T.B. "There is certainly enough material for us to keep going and going," he tells us. "And as you know, television contracts are six years, so I don't think there is any need for it to be the last season. I don't see any need or reason for it to stop when it is as successful as it is." Feel better?

HollywoodLife.com chatted with Pam herself about next summer’s big premiere — find out what made her gasp!

True Blood‘s fifth season premiere is still more than six months away, but Kristin says the first scripts have already been sent out — and they’re good. ”I just read the script, we got it yesterday,” Kristin told HollywoodLife.com on Oct. 26 while promoting her appearance on the Oct. 30 episode of ABC’s Once Upon A Time. “I saw it come into my email and it said script 501 and I literally [gasped.]
News of the premiere’s title, “Turn, Turn, Turn,” broke that same day — and Kristin says it couldn’t be more appropriate. “After I read it twice, I noticed the title and thought, ‘Oh my God, that’s perfect!’” she told us. “It’s so brilliant how each story line, from where it left off at the end of last year, hits a major fork in the road that we’re launched into for the first episode of the new season. It’s very exciting.” Of course, Kristin couldn’t reveal exactly where those forks will take us, but when I asked if there were some major changes in store for Pam, she literally responded with an evil laugh. And it was amazing. “The reason I read it twice was that it left me wanting more so badly, and my only option was to read it again,” she added. “These writers are really amazing.”
Movieweb.com has Carrie Preston's reaction to the first script of Season 5
As Arlene Fowler, Carrie Preston has served as Merlotte's top waitress for the past four seasons, while also maintaining a strong bond with Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin). She's also had the divine distinction of birthing what many thought to be a demon baby. True Blood Season 4 ended this past summer with a few shockers. Carrie has recently gotten her hands on the script for Season 5's debut episode, and she assures us that fans will be pleased with the outcome.
"As you know, I'm not allowed to say anything. I will say, I have read the first script. It is very exciting. It's up to the usual True Blood standards with epic proportions of new characters and drama, and comedy. You know...Romance and everything else you've come to expect...I am excited to see where it will all go myself. We start shooting right after Thanksgiving. You will definitely get some questions answered right off the bat. Then, of course, a million more questions will come up, and those will propel us through the rest of the season, I am sure. But yes, the fans will definitely be satiated almost immediately."
While
Carrie Preston couldn't divulge any pertinent story details, she did offer some insight into where she'd like to see her character go in True Blood Season 5.
"Well, you know...We left it off where there was this mysterious guy that has come back into Terri's life. That is being played by Scott Foley. It will be interesting to see how that will start to impact the home life. I trust that the writers and Alan Ball will take the role to places that I can't even imagine. I try not to speculate. Because I would never have thought that I would have gotten pregnant, and that I would have a demon baby. But it's not a demon baby, its possessed by a ghost. If I tried to dream that up? I couldn't have. I just put myself in their very capable hands. And I enjoy the ride."
Though she hasn't been privy to any new casting announcements, Carrie Preston has revealed that there will be quite a few new characters this next year, when the series returns.
"I have no idea (about the casting). I am sure there will be surprises. There are new characters in the script, in just that first episode alone. I have no idea who will be playing them. We tend to beef up our already large cast with really wonderful guest players. I am assuming that True Blood Season 5 won't be any different than what they've done in terms of that previously.
The men in the "True Blood" cast are especially bromantic, and it's awesome. (My favorite example: That scene in the season three finale, when Eric says to Alcide and Bill: "If you two are done eye-f---ing each other, can we go?") In addition to Alexander Skarsgård recently hinting at more Bill-Eric moments, MTV News had a chance encounter with Stephen Moyer, who's equally enthused about the idea.
Before we approached Stephen with the bromance angle, however, we wondered if he'd had a chance to read the season five scripts yet, which we knew were delivered to the cast members recently.
"How did you hear that?" a suspicious Stephen asked when we chatted with him at TeenNick's HALO Awards. (We're MTV, yo. We've got people.) "Yes we did [get them]. I haven’t read it yet. I haven’t had a moment to. It’s been busy the last few weeks and days, so I haven’t had a chance," he admitted. "I was talking about it today, I really must. Anna [Paquin] hasn’t read it either."
Now onto the pressing question: Will we see more of the bromance between Bill and Eric develop next season?"
My missus got to have a go with him last year, so I think it’s my turn," Stephen said with a smile. "I know [Alex] is very excited about that."

Season 5 Episode spoilers and some speculation on the new episode titles from IMDB-
#1 "Turn, Turn, Turn"- I think this will pick up right after the finale of season 4, the Halloween episode. The title can refer to many things, changes mainly and taking them in stride or not. It is a good Autumn tune, don't you think, the leaves changing, the daily temperatures and Bill and Eric forced to be besties on the run. There's also big changes coming up for the werewolf community with Marcus' death and the Pack Master challenge that will come up as a result. So Manganiello should be front and center in this season more than he was last.
#2 "The Beyond of the Bubble Gum"- I am hoping this title is going to be changed, just doesn't sound right. Don't forget fall is when school starts up again, makes sense with the spoilers of Jess at a frat party. Maybe it's linked up with this kiddie plot of the Sookie flashback spoiler from last month and the premiere info is off, just a guess-
The season-five premiere of True Blood will have a flashback to Sookie’s (Anna Paquin) childhood, and we get to see her use her powers in a deliciously evil way to embarrass a couple of playground bullies. What did they do to piss her off? They don’t pick her for their kickball team! That is a wound that burns deep forever, kids…so be nice when playing kickball!
#3 "It's New Year"- could point to the actual new year, January 1, or a new school year. Hmm, need more info.
From Spoiler Chat-
Jody in Crown Point, Ind.: I know True Blood is starting up again soon. Got anything?Gold stars for keeping track of TB's shooting schedule! "Three more weeks and we're baaack!" Janina Gavankar sings to us. "We just got out first script. It is intense. As you can imagine, stuff goes crazy right off the bat!" Unfortunately, that's pretty much all we got out of her, since True Blood loves to keep their spoilers secret…even from the cast! "They tell us nothing," she admits. "We actually have no idea. All I can promise is drama right off the top."

 Joe Talks to TVline-
The HBO drama’s upcoming fifth season will be packed with werewolves, and the man beast leading the resurgence — Joe Manganiello (a.k.a. Alcide) — ischamping at the bit to get started. “Oh my god, I can’t f—ing wait,” he enthused to TVLine at the after-party for this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show (airing Nov. 29 on CBS). ”The fact that they’re basically busy casting an entire new pack of werewolves is unbelievable. There’s going to be like a werewolf show within the show this this year, so I’m like a kid about it!”
Among the lycanthropes making tracks to Bon Temps: late pack leader Marcus’ mother, Annie (played byWinter’s Bone standout Dale Dickey); a hot young she-wolf named Rikki; and a hard-bodied fiftysomething named J.D. who sounds suspiciously like Alcide’s never-before-seen father.
“It may not be what you expect,” teases Manganiello of the character, adding, “Alcide’s dad is in [Charlaine Harris' fifth Sookie novel]. Whether or not he makes an appearance… well, that’s a question for [executive producer] Alan [Ball].” (With reporting by Matt Webb Mitovich)
More on Salome from THR
A network spokesperson confirms to The Hollywood Reporter that Italian actress,Valentina Cervi, is joining the show as a series regular, as first reported by TVLine. She will play Salome, a seductive and powerful ancient vampire whose beauty may only be outdone by her intelligence. According to early casting notices, the character is derived from King Herod’s daughter in the New Testament. She ordered John the Baptist’s head on a silver platter. The 35-year-old actress was born in Rome -- her father is Italian director Tonino Cervi and her grandfather is the Italian actor Gino Cervibegan. She began acting at 10 years old and has appeared in several films including this year’s Jane Eyre and 1996's The Portrait of a Lady. She also appeared in the BBC TV mini-series, Zen, starring Rufus Sewell.
Carrie Preston talks to AOLTV about her guest spot on SVU and a bit about TB, more at link. That Carrie sure is good at keeping secrets.
Going to 'True Blood' real quick: I know you guys have read the new script. What can you tell me?
I can't tell you anything. [Laughs].

I know there are a lot of werewolves coming to town.
Wow, OK. There are a lot of new characters, as is always the case with 'True Blood.' You will get some quick answers right off the bat. The show is not going to leave you wondering about some of the cliffhangers.

Have we seen the last of the demon baby in terms of possession?
I have no idea. [Laughs].

That was a very creepy storyline at some points.
It was, it was. I didn't even know where it was going.

You must get this a lot, but I'm going to ask again: Will Michael ever do 'True Blood'?
It's so funny. Everyone asks as if actors ever have anything to do with that. [Laughs] I mean, we just don't have anything to do with casting. I'm sure he would love to come on the show, but I'm sure there's also something to be said for us having our separate careers and supporting each other on each other's shows. I think it's a win-win situation.

THR has another article on the Chris Meloni casting rumor-More at the link.
For days now, True Blood fans have been buzzing about reports that Chris Meloni will stage a comeback to HBO by joining the series in a “major role” on Season 5.
1. 50 is the new 500. Let’s face it. At 50, Meloni gives most 30 year olds in Hollywood a run for their money in the hunk department. Those good looks and the wisdom of living a half a century will translate well for playing a vampire that could very well be hundreds of years old. And, recent reports say that the series is casting for The Vampire Authority, the council which rules over all vampires and gives its royalty their power. Meloni would be perfection in one of those roles.
2. Blood, no problem. The actor has demonstrated several times in his career that violence and blood are not a problem for him. So, I imagine that if he were faced with taking down a few humans (or werewolves, witches, a bothersome fairy, for that matter), he wouldn’t flinch.
3. Clothing, optional. True Blood is well known for its nude scenes and executive producer Alan Ball places all the actors in some kind of state of nudity through out the season. Meloni has demonstrated that he isn’t afraid to let it all hang out if a role requires it.
From Ausiello-Question: Even though it’s still a ways off, I can’t stop thinking about Season 5 of True Blood! I need to know anything, absolutely anything, about anything that may be happening next season! — Tanya
Ausiello: How about this? In the wake of Nan’s slaying, next season we’ll be meeting the Authority council, a colorful bunch that includes Kibwe, an Andre Braugher type who’s a proponent of prisoner rehab; Rosalyn Harris, a tough cookie who, from what I hear, could have been separated at birth from Paula Deen; and Alexander, a mischief-maker who only looks like he’s 9.
“True Blood” star Joe Manganiello says the upcoming season of HBO’s hit vampire series is taking a page from the hugely successful “Twilight” movies and beefing up on sexy werewolves.
“They’re casting a lot of new werewolves, a lot of hot werewolf chicks,” Manganiello, 34, toldAccess Hollywood, previewing Season Five.
Joe says his on-screen alter ego, Alcide, will have big trouble on his hands from some new charactees.
“We’ve got Dale Dickey, who’s joined the cast from ‘Winter’s Bone,’ who is awesome,” Manganiello says. “I can’t wait to work with her.
“I think there’s gonna be some werewolves who are gonna give Alcide some trouble this season as well. I’m anxious to see who they’ll cast.”
Among other new cast members, Italian actress Valentina Cervi has been tapped for a regular role as an ancient vampire named Salome. The character is described as a “world class seductress and fiercely intelligent.”The character didn’t originate in Harris’s books, so the show is free to create a new story line.
The season will pick up where Season Four left off. Sookie will be holding Tara in the kitchen.
The episode will also include a flashback to when Eric turned Pam into a vampire, according to show members.
From CraveOnline, the Meloni frenzy continues (more at the link)-
As originally reported by TVLine, Meloni will portray ”an ancient, powerful vampire who holds the fate of Bill and Eric in his hands.” Meloni will also be a series regular during the fifth season of "True Blood."
Thus far, Meloni is one of the most established actors joining the cast of "True Blood" for the new season. Kelly Overton and Louis Herthum have both been cast as werewolves, with Dale Dickey ("My Name is Earl") as Annie, the werewolf mother of Marcus Bozeman, the former packmaster who was killed by Alcide Herveaux last season.Lucy Griffiths will also join the cast as Nora, the vampire sister of Eric Northman; whileValentina Cervi will play the ancient vampire known as Salome.
Ausiello goes forward with his bid to rule twitter-

Janina talked to Wetpaint last night, the whole thing at the link -
We caught up with the True Blood star at the Thursday night grand opening of headwear manufacturer New Era’s Los Angeles store, and she revealed that season 5 of the HBO vampire show will be "bloodier, sexier, and dirtier" than ever!
Though the actress, who plays the shapeshifter Luna, didn't offer up too many specifics, she promised that fans should look forward to a wild ride when the show returns this summer.
“We’ve been back for almost two weeks now and it’s already crazy. I mean, just insane!” Janina said on the New Era red carpet. “At the beginning of last season, the first episode was very relaxed and it started a year after we stopped season 3, so there was a lot of catching up to do. But this [season 5] is not a relaxed situation. We are starting really tense from the beginning."

True Blood | Remember Alcide’s crazy ex, Debbie Pelt? Well she’s about to be crazy with family. The HBO drama is in the process of casting the not-so-dearly departed’s mom and dad, Barbara and Gordon, who will hit Bon Temps loaded with questions bout their “missing” little girl. Though both ‘rents are described as “kindly,” Gordon will be riled up and grow defensive soon enough when Alcide speaks ill of the dead. Er, of the “missing.”
From Eonline's Kristin's Spoilers
Watch out, Alcide (Joe Manganiello)! Debbie Pelt's (Brit Morgan) mom and dad are coming for answers about the whereabouts of their daughter, and they don't appreciate anyone speaking ill of their baby girl.
Taylor: I'm going through serious True Blood withdrawals. Got anything to hold me over until summer?
Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll) might be getting a new love interest who has an advantage over Jason (Ryan Kwanten) and Hoyt (Jim Parrack): he's British and very attractive. Plus, his name is Claude. Try competing with that.
Eonline's Ted C (forgive me) talks to Kristin about S5, read it all at the source-
"Every year I think, ‘We've kinda done it.' Every year I think ‘Wow, that was better than last year. These story lines and these scenes and the cast…I don't think they could get any better.' "  So says Kristin Bauer—who plays scene stealing vamp-extraordinaire Pam on True Blood—when we asked what's to come for the fangtastic HBO show. "And that's how I feel about [season] five," K.B. told us from the set.  First off, the gushing: "Every script I get I go, ‘Oh my god, that's better than I thought it would be.' And wardrobe fittings, ‘Oh my god, that's better than I could have imagined,' " Bauer practically hyperventilated.
But scoop-wise, Bauer stayed tight-lipped on the secrets of season five: "I have a pretty good inkling about [what's to come]. And I can't tell you anything." Though she did tease that we should not only expect more totally over-the-top outfits from Pam, but also more R-rated one-liners.  "We thought last year's gash in the sundress might be that point and apparently that wasn't!" Kristen told us when asked the writers ever give her something to say that's just too much
True Blood S5 guest star and General Hospital's Carolyn Hennesy is tweeting about her TB experience.

From TVGuide's Mega Buzz
Is there still hope for Sookie and Eric on True Blood? — Alexis
NATALIE:
Considering that Sookie swore off both Bill and Eric in the season finale, it'll be a while before we see any movement on that front. "The feelings are still there for both Eric and Bill,"Alexander Skarsgard tells us. "The attraction is still there, but they're preoccupied, and so is she." Instead, look for Bill and Eric to team up while the vampire world begins to both expand and collapse in the coming season. "The guys have usually tried to kill each other and now suddenly have to learn to become friends and protect each other and work together."
Ausiello has scoopage.
Vampires, shapeshifters and werewolves were among the guests raising a glass to the Golden Globes at HBO’s post-show soiree Sunday night at the Beverly Hilton. We’re talking, of course, about the True Blood cast, several of whom were in a fairly chatty (read: scoopy) mood. Herewith are six of the meatiest, juiciest teases we extracted from them.
1 | Janina Gavankar revealed that “a major thing happens to Luna early in the season, and it’s going to change her life forever.” (pregs or dead?)
2 | The cast learned that Chris Meloni was Bon Temps-bound last month at a table read, news that elicited “gasps” throughout the room, recalled Gavankar. “We’re so excited to have him.”
3 | Alcide’s days of playing Mr. Nice Guy are over. “As you saw at the end of Season 4, he’s not taking anyone’s s— anymore,” said the man-beast’s portrayer, Joe Manganiello. “Now you’re going to see an Alcide who’s going to slam you up against the wall and do his thing. Who doesn’t like being slammed up against the wall, right?” Asked to clarify his use of the word “slam” — i.e. is it a euphemism for, ahem, another s-word — Manganiello cracked a devilish smile and replied, “It could be a fun slam. And it could be an angry slam. You never know?” He then reminded us that, “Alcide is single.” (maybe he'll finally be sexy on TB, meaning more than just look good)
4 | The latest True Blood script Manganiello read contains “some really fun [Alcide-Sookie] stuff,” he revealed. “Stuff that makes you really nervous… I’m watching my words really carefully.” (nervous that Bill or Eric will find out?)
5 | Ryan Kwanten hinted that Jason may have bitten off more than he could chew with regard to his romance with Jessica. “As you know, anyone who gets involved with Jason better have her wits about her,” he said. “But I think in this case, it’s Jason who better watch out. The tables have finally turned.” ( Jess doesn't want to be with just one male?)
6 | Where do you go after spending half of Season 4 being raped by a werepanther? “Even that can be topped,” teased Kwanten. “Jason was very lucky to survive; he was down for the count. He has a desire to life. I admire that in a man.” (With reporting by Vlada Gelman)
