True Blood Sunday, Again!

I took my first day off yesterday since I started this blog, but I'm baaaaaack! Let's get crackalacking (wtf?).
Michael Coelho did the TCA trailer and has the Comic-Con one up now  on his Vimeo channel, scenes seem much more defined and clearer.

Re-posting all the info for this episode- "I Wish I Was The Moon" (good name for a Lon Chaney Jr. bio)
Using Taliasmara's vids this week, she's a longtime TB fan.

Abuelo is really into goats.

Oh Andy, I just can't with Holly.

From the HD Room
The moment True Blood love watchers have been waiting for, when memory-wiped Eric and lonely Sookie finally hook up, looks to be short-lived according to this trailer for episode 42, 'I Wish I Was The Moon.'
As episode 41 came to a close last night, Bill finally learned of Eric's whereabouts just as the amnesiac vampire started getting some loving from Sookie. Eric's life is now in danger and Sookie will find herself begging to save it from the vampire she once was ready to marry.
The bigger story in episode 42 should be Jason's date with a full moon. According to Crystal, he's primed and ready to turn panther when the moon is not obscured. Having just learned that day is tomorrow, Jason will either make preparations or run off into the woods Being Human-style.
At some point you have to imagine that Bill keeping Marne in captivity will come back to haunt him. Maybe even literally.

Is Debbie Messing with Jason in the Woods, or is it Sooks? If you had Alcide as your manwolf would you ever go sniffing around any other dog? She ain't right.

TV,com-Under a full moon, Sookie heads out to look for Jason. Arlene and Terry have to deal with a suspicious out-of-control fire. Marnie establishes a rapport with past spirits. Alcide considers Debbie's urging to join a new werewolf community. Sam and Tommy trade places. Lafayette is making headway in Mexico. Eric gives in to his King's wishes.

Skarsgardfans has caps up from the TCA video (posted here previously), look at that face of doom!
why is he still wearing clothes?
Is that another goat tongue or a snake? Either way, breakfast is ready!

From The Boston Herald
It’s a full moon in Bon Temps on HBO’s “True Blood” (tonight at 9), and that means, naturally, that everyone has an excuse to wander the woods.
You’d think they’d know better by now.
Just about everyone gets possessed, either by vengeful spirits or pure-old fashioned desire.
Sookie (Anna Paquin) and Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) are in the throes of passion when Bill (Stephen Moyer)bursts in and ruins the moment. A humbled Eric bows to his king.
Sookie questions Bill’s motives. “Believe it or not, my entire existence does not revolve between what or who is between your legs,” he says.
Youch. Don’t see these two getting back together any time soon, and truth be told, I like the show more when they’re apart.
Sookie pleads for Eric’s life. “If you ever loved me, you won’t hurt him.”
But Bill twists Eric’s condition and wins approval to punish him with “the true death.”
Elsewhere, Jason (Ryan Kwanten) fears he will turn into a werepanther. That question is answered perfectly tonight, and as a bonus, a new love triangle is born.
Tommy (Marshall Allman) learns a new trick and finds a new way to wreck brother Sam’s (Sam Trammell) life. Trammell is outstanding in his work tonight, but I don’t want to give too many hints here.
Arlene (Carrie Preston) and her family escape that bedroom inferno, and we get our first sense of what is going on with her baby. Devil child - or something else?
Both Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis) and Marnie (Fiona Shaw) find themselves used as vessels for powerful supernatural creatures - who might not have their best interests at heart.
And in a departure for the series, the night does not end on a true cliffhanger, but a moment of passion finally admitted, honored and shared.  Fangbangers will love this one.

Is this the same fug jacket? Is she wearing his drawer's too, that bitch!

Who is Eric feeding off of, it looks to be a vamp who is silvered and has a resemblance to Vincent Price, lol.

Alan Ball on Bill-Sookie-Eric Triangle, Season 4 Finale

As TB starts charging towards the Season 4 finale, executive producer Alan Ball was on hand at HBO's summer TV session to dish out a few spoilers — and when we say few, we mean very few. Here is the transcript of our rapid-fire lightning round with the very cagey Ball:

What will we see in the war between witches and vampires?
Ball:
It will go places that surprise you. It's not linear.
What can you say of the Bill-Sookie-Eric triangle?
Ball:
It's complicated.
Will Sookie be able to forgive Bill ?
Ball:
I believe forgiveness is possible for everybody for everything, but I'm a Buddist, so...
Were you careful with the relationship between Eric and Sookie because of Team Bill?
Ball: I don't worry about Team Bill or Team Eric. I love [the fourth book] because I thought it was a great story, but I'm Team Sookie.
Because Jason drank Jessica's blood, will his sex dreams continue?
Ball:
He's had her blood and he's already a very sexual person, but he's going to be attracted to her.
What is the season building up to?
Ball:
The fate of vampires as a whole.
What's the big, bad villain for next season?
Ball:
We are just in the beginning of Season 5, so it's too early to say, but we're basing it on the books.
Do you feel pressure to top each villain?
Ball:
I don't think that way because that's only a recipe for trouble. I love my job, I enjoy doing it. I'm not going to put pressure on myself to top. I just want to tell the best story and the most fun story.
Why did the show really jump one year in the future this year?
Ball:
The root of that was how we get Jason to be a cop.

Some nice photos (I like Anna's dress)from yesterday's Television Critic's Association Summer Tour that was live blogged at THR. From our friends at The Vault-

Couple of blurbs from the panel via the live blog , TB starts at 5:14.
Ball says he signed on for another season, Anna dares AB to comes up with something she'd say no to, talking about the rock star reception they got at SDCC and here it's just "whatever", not much more of interest to post.
This was made by Michael Coelho for the TCA Conference and has scenes from the first 9 eps. Worth watching a few times, whew!

True Blood Scoopage from TV Line
Worried that SDCC may have drained all the bloodscoop out of the True Bloodgang? Fret not: Showrunner Alan Ball, Anna Paquin, and Stephen Moyer took the stage at the Television Critics Association’s summer press tour in Beverly Hills on Thursday, and actually divulged a new tease or two — including ample details on the yet-to-be-ordered fifth season of HBO’s vampy saga.
True, HBO has yet to pick up True Blood for Season 5, but based on Ball’s announcement that he recently “closed a deal to do another [year],” it’s looking likely. “Everything ends, and there will be an end for me on this show at some point,” he offered. “But I don’t have any desire to leave because I’m having more fun than I have in my entire life.” What’s more, Ball explained that the writing staff is already breaking stories on the fifth season, which will “explore how one of the vampires was made,” as well as introduce new characters.
* If there’s a standout moment between Eric (Alexander Skarsgard), Sookie, and Bill, in Season 4′s ninth episode, Paquin gets all the credit. The actress says she gave Ball some rare input on an upcoming scene, and it may end up on air.
* That super creepy baby storyline has really just developed organically — much to the amusement of Ball. “I had no idea where that was going to go [when we first showed the doll],” he explained. “And now the creepy baby doll has found its way to creepy baby. They’re teamed up now. There’s something going on between those two, I can tell you that.”
Moyer confirmed : That the Queen of all Things Zing, Kristin Bauer van Straten (Pam), has a “one-liner coming up that is probably one of the great lines of all time.”
How could a line be better than the "Fuck with my face" or 'He pulls good string" ones? Wow, can't wait to hear it.

A lot of the same from MSNBC

Beyond talk of Season 4, Alan confirmed that the writers have already begun work on Season 5 and they plan to reveal one of the character’s back stories next season.
“We’re gonna go back and see how one of the vampires was made,” Alan noted, not naming the character whose past will be revealed (although rumors point to it being Pam).

Stephen Moyer told reporters he’s been enjoying Season 4, especially since the usually-serious Bill finally got to say a few funny lines, including last week’s beekeeper reference to Kristin Bauer van Straten’s Pam, who wore a hat and net to cover her decaying face.
“Kristin’s got one coming up that’s possibly one of the great lines of all time,” Stephen said, slightly envious of his blonde co-star’s upcoming dialogue.“But she does them so beautifully,” Anna added.

Creeping towards True Blood Weekend

New Promo! Tara needs to get a set of stones.

Last 2 episode synopses from Bookies

Episode #47 – 4.11: ‘Soul of Fire’ As the Wiccan-vampire standoff reaches a critical juncture, Sookie summons her faerie powers to prevent Marnie from bewitching Bill, Eric and Pam into a suicide march, while Jesus casts a secret spell designed to un-bind Antonia and break the witch’s deadly defenses.  Sam settles a score with Marcus; Alcide confronts Debbie about her allegiances; Andy finds unexpected passion in the forest; Lafayette is consumed by the past.
Episode #48 – 4.12: ‘And When I Die’ Season Finale.  It’s Samhain, Wicca’s greatest holy day, and spirits of the dead surface in Bon Temps, giving Sookie some valuable allies to combat Marnie’s newest incarnation.  Lafayette’s latest medium encounter imperils his relationship with Jesus; Jason finds confession good for the soul, but not the body; Alcide makes a heartfelt appeal to the woman he loves; Terry receives an unexpected visitor at Merlotte’s; Sam and Luna envision a storybook ending, for once; Nan wears out her welcome with Bill and Eric.  As Season Four comes to a shattering conclusion, Debbie confronts Sookie and Tara with deadly consequences, and the denizens of Bon Temps brace for a new crisis with a familiar face. (Can I still hope to see Russell in the finale?)

All Hail The King!
Denis O'Hare has gotten hitched, via his twitter.
Okay. It happened. Hugo and I just got married.

Sam Trammell did a good interview with NY Mag's Vulture Blog, the whole thing is worth the read at the link-
Congratulations on completing season four. What was that wrap party like?
This year a lot of the cast had already gone off to their respective countries. But last year was crazier. There are definitely people on the show that like to have a good time. [Laughs.] Me, one of the writers, [Alexander] Skarsgard, and [Ryan] Kwanten — we're not shy of doing shots, let’s put it that way. You know Kwanten … both those guys … I don't wanna speak out of turn, but they probably wouldn't mind.
They drink like champions?
Oh yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Kwanten, yeah — for sure.
You grew up for a bit in Louisiana. Do you think the accents on the show are, you know, overblown?
I think everyone does a really good job. When you talk about the Louisiana accent, the people in the north have different accents than the people in Lafayette, which are a little more Cajun. Everyone sounds a little bit different, but everyone sounds a little bit different in the south.
That was very diplomatic of you.
[Laughs loudly.]
This season, we’re getting the feeling Sam just can’t trust his brother, Tommy. True?
[There’s] a huge deception and a huge violation of trust. Tommy is definitely in deep water. He's got Maxine [Hoyt’s overbearing mom], but Tommy's running out of friends in town. And Tommy's trying to cheat Maxine out of her land, so he's really burning a lot of bridges right now.
Will he outright turn evil?
I don't know if I can really answer that specifically. We're going to find out what price you pay when you shape-shift. That's going to be a big issue. There's a lot of mess that Tommy has already created that I have to clean up, and there's potentially a lot more mess. He's kind of a loose cannon.
And what of Sam’s new relationship with Luna?
Luna has a very scary ex-husband and father to her child [and a werewolf]. Sam is going to have a major conflict with the werewolves.
What if Sam just shape-shifted into a werewolf?
[Long pause.] I wonder if I could. Probably so. I like that.
Why don’t Sam and Sookie really share scenes together anymore?
Just because of our story lines, there’s so much to resolve in hers and mine. Though we do come together. There is some — I won't say “resolution,” because I don't wanna imply how well it goes or how not well it goes — but we do get together to talk. I feel like if we end up doing a few more seasons, the writers may run out of story with that and come back to me. Sam will always have a real connection with Sookie, and he'll always love her.

Access Hollywood has more vids and this interview with Kristin-
“True Blood” has thrown in some surprising twists and turns into Season 4, most especially for Kristin Bauer van Straten, who plays Eric Northman’s (Alexander Skarsgard) right hand vampire, Pam.
“What’s great about ‘True Blood’ is they put us in [a] situation and the situation is interesting, but what I find even more interesting how we react and how Pam reacts this year, in this political post-Russell Edgington world where she’s supposed to be shaking hands and kissing babies, Pam goes a bit feral,” Kristin told Access Hollywood as she stopped at the Wired Cafe at Comic-Con 2011 over the weekend in San Diego. “It’s fascinating how the vampires in charge try to rein her in and what her reaction is to that.”
A shock even readers of Charlaine Harris’ books couldn’t have seen coming was when Marnie, possessed by an ages old witch casts a spell on Pam, causing her to begin rotting, something Kristin said her character is ready to avenge.
“Pam wants permission to go kill the people who did this to her and she’s also trying to keep it hidden that she knows where her maker is, but she’s just not a strategist,” Kristin laughed.
While on Sunday’s episode, Pam is likely to face the repercussions for lying to King Bill about where Eric was stashed, Kristin herself couldn’t keep quiet regarding how delightful Alexander Skarsgard’s performance has been as an amnesiac vampire in the past few episodes
“Alex without memory… Is that not the sweetest thing… So charming. Alex is so charming and so funny and so smart,” she said of her friend and co-star. “He’s just the loveliest guy and… the scenes with him this year… I told him, the girls are gonna be stratospherically in love, not that they weren’t already.”
Kristin’s Pam certainly wants her maker’s memory to come back and she also wants to get her own mojo back. Whether that will happen by the end of the season or not, however, is uncertain.
“She’s certainly going to try. Sometimes on ‘True Blood’ things will get worse and worse and more dire,” Kristin said.
So could there be a good turn out the end of the dire situation Pam finds herself in?
“We always hope so, but even when things get better, they’re so clever about [it], it’s like there’s always a sort of side effect of ‘better’ that we didn’t see coming that creates a new problem,” she said.

From The Monitor, creepy pics.
When J.d. Mata stepped into the audition room at HBO studios in Hollywood, the McAllen native was careful not to break character. The producers were in search of the perfect brujo – a medicine man who was solemn and mysterious, and Mata was determined to become him.
“(My agent) said ‘Be the character, do not be J.D.,’” Mata said.
The University of Texas-Pan American graduate followed his agent’s advice, and before he knew it, he was scheduled to star in one of the network’s highest-rated shows. This Sunday, July 31, at 9 p.m. Mata will appear as “Tio Luca” on the HBO drama “True Blood.” The series, which is set in Bon Temps, La., follows the lives of vampires, werewolves, shape-shifters and this season, witches. Now in its fourth season, the show has made stars out of Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer and Alexander SkarsgÃ¥rd, and has developed a huge cult following for vampire lovers and fantasy enthusiasts alike. Often considered the “Twilight” for adults, the show offers more blood, more nudity and more substance than its counterpart.
In just a matter of days after his first audition, Mata was on set shooting scenes with Nelsan Ellis, who plays Lafayette Reynolds, and Kevin Alejandro who plays Jesus Velasquez, Reynolds’ boyfriend.

True Bloodville's Wednesday

Lack of spoilers have led me to just post some newsy stuff instead, but I'm not giving up~
Joe was on Chelsea Lately -

Antonia info from Times of India
In the HBO fantasy series about vampires and werewolves and their passionate love lives, Turbay plays "a role very different from me, although sometimes at home they call me a witch", she laughingly remarked during a telephone interview with EFE from Los Angeles. However, she added that the role is "a challenge because of its complexity and depth". Antonia is a victim of the Inquisition, a spirit who is not at peace and who now arrives to complicate the lives of the protagonists, a telepath played by Anna Paquin and a vampire portrayed by Stephen Moyer.

The SDCC panel in one video

From Extra TV
Stephen Moyer, who plays vampire King Bill Compton, tells "Extra" how he keeps tabs on co-star and real-life wife Anna Paquin's character Sookie Stackhouse during her sex scenes with vamp rogue Eric Northman, played by Alexander Skarsgaard.
The 2011 Comic-Con crowd loved them some "True Blood" -- and "Extra" was there, catching up with the show's stars.
Moyer explained, "I went up to Alex at the beginning of the season and said 'You've got a lot of sex stuff coming up with the misses, it's totally cool,' and then I literally went into his trailer and put a little GPS in his c*** sock."

The Ancient Pythoness has some frames and plot ot Tainted Love #5, the Newlins are still hysterical I see.

Since all the spoilers at Reddit were deleted I'm re-posting what I saved, this was posted by the person who said he saw several episodes. I do wonder why they were deleted and if the person is now jobless because they spilled info.

Also a few lines about Tommy going skinwalking as Sam, sleeping with Luna as Sam and firing Sookie, lol.
  .
I will not comment on what this trailer makes me think of the movie, the look on Askars face says it all.

This needs to be re-posted often

The Shallow Gene Pool of Hot Shot

There's got to be were-panthers somewhere else that aren't so bloody pathetic.

So the baby Sheriff is a vampire hoodlum? Wha? Got to be more to it for him to be in a position of power.

'True Blood': Aaron Perilo, one of the new sheriffs in town, talks character's 'Fight Club' connection

by Mandi Bierly

On this week’s True Blood, we met the other four vampire sheriffs of Louisiana when King Bill summoned them to discuss their witch problem. One of the vampires, Blackburn (pictured), is played by Aaron Perilo, who celebrated his debut by watching the show with friends — a circle of dedicated True Blood fans. (They hushed the fool who “Ooh!”ed when he made his first appearance, he reports. There is no talking during True Blood.) Though Perilo is under the usual cast orders to stay spoiler-free, here’s what we gleaned from our chat this morning:
• Blackburn has been an acquaintance of Bill and Eric’s for “a very long time,” and he’s friends with Eric (at least the one who’d remember him). He doesn’t have a job in the human world, and “he doesn’t really care too much about the human race,” Perilo says.
• At his wardrobe fittings, Perilo was told Blackburn’s style was being based on Tyler Durden, Brad Pitt’s character in Fight Club. “I was like, ‘Okay. I don’t think you can get much cooler than that. So I’m okay with that,’” he laughs. “That seems pretty badass.” For his part, he drew inspiration from a couple of hoodlums from his hometown, Omaha. “I feel like [Blackburn] is a little bit of a lower-denominator type,” he says. “He’s very animalistic.”
• Blackburn will get blood on his hands. Perilo won’t say when, but don’t look for it in the next episode — he’s not in it. (He’ll appear in four more episodes this season.) For those wondering, actors auditioning to play vampires on True Blood are not asked to simulate a bite during their reading. “That would be really funny. No, I think they just trust your biting skills,” he says. He will admit to biting into a lot of apples for practice, and to wearing his fangs pretty much his entire first day on set just to get used to speaking with them in, which he’d been warned would be difficult. “You do have a little bit of a lisp, and that’s the last thing you want. It’s a very unintimidating thing to have a vampire lisp,” he says.
One of his biggest surprises on set: “The blood doesn’t taste very good. You’ve got to do some serious acting for that. It’s not the O-negative I’m used to,” he jokes. “I don’t know what it’s made of, but it tastes like concentrated plum juice.
Ryan Kwanten a.k.a Jason Stackhouse on HBO’s True Blood was on hand for other panels including that for his film Knights of Badassdom. During an often-hilarious press conference, Kwanten found time to discuss his TV day job a bit as a possible werepanther:
“I think Jason is having a relatively rough time dealing with the fact that he doesn’t have any superhero powers at all. I think it’s almost comical the fact that he doesn’t because I think of anyone on the show, he wants it more than anyone and the fact that he can’t is kind of funny.” The Examiner

Sam, the morph-master, words of wisdom, "Gators love marshmallows" Learn it, know it, live it.

"I wish I was the Moon"
‘If you ever loved me, you won’t hurt him.’

It seems that Bill isn’t too worried what his former lover thinks and orders his staff to restrain Eric with silver chains.
He later recommends to Nan that ‘Sheriff Northman’ faces the true death, which we just know won’t go down well with Bon Temps’ favourite psychic.
“I don’t expect mercy,” Eric mutters when Bill is about to carry through on his execution.
“I Wish I Was the Moon” will air Sunday, July 31 at 9 P.M on HBO. Season four will air in the UK in 2012.

Joe Manganiello was on Access Hollywood today, the video is at the link

LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
“True Blood’s” Sookie may have her hands full at the moment on the HBO drama, repairing her broken heart, while falling for amnesiac vampire Eric Northman – but a romance with hunky werewolf Alcide could be in the cards says Joe Manganiello.
“Well, they’re teasing it a bit,” Joe said on Tuesday’s Access Hollywood Live, with Billy Bush and guest host, “Private Practice” star Kate Walsh.
“Obviously my character’s very close and she (Sookie, played by Anna Paquin) has stuff going on with Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) right now, but as you can see from the last episode, the ghost of her grandmother channeled through this medium and told her to not give her heart to the guy she may be falling in love with,” Joe continued. “So obviously, the door’s still open.”
In one of the fan-favorite moments of the season so far, which aired just two weeks ago, Alcide helped Sookie after Eric drank a fairy to death and the vampire went swimming in the lake — in direct sunlight. The episode had Joe stripping down to shift into his wolf form, prompting Billy to ask if werewolves wear skivvies.
“We had long talks about whether werewolves wear underwear or not,” Joe laughed. “[In] our character research, we decided that, no, they don’t.
“I was actually wearing what we refer to as ‘the sock’ there,” Joe added of his “True Blood” scene, which saw him removing his blue jeans as part of his character’s transformation into the beast.
“The Sock” – which men on “True Blood” and other programs wear to maintain some on-set modesty – has actually become quite an important garment, as Billy found out.
“Is it better wearing the sock or without?” Billy asked.
“Before I got on to the show, there were actually people on the show who didn’t wear the sock. But, I guess for health purposes we all have to wear the sock,” Joe said.
While the clothing item protects his modesty, it doesn’t exactly instill confidence when Joe has to work alongside a real wolf on set – a creature known to weigh as much as 175 lbs.
“Here’s the thing, when the wolf is present and they bring them out on big thick chains… My brother jokingly said he was gonna sneak into my trailer and switch out my sock for a sausage casing,” Joe laughed.
“But there’s literally a trainer standing in back of me, waving raw meat at this thing to get it to look at me… and I’m naked,” he added.

Little Mikey, so cute, little Cap and all.

Monday's Rewind of Me and the Devil.

I was hoping they used Gil Scott Heron's version of "Me and The Devil" , the one I posted yesterday, and they did. Sometimes I think Ball has my place bugged, that and using the names Antonia and Toni has me paranoid.
Let's get a recapping,

Opening with Skinwalker talk sure takes the guess work out of what will happen to Tommy, poor lil Scrappy.
I was wondering why Alcide didn't smell the bad hair-do pack master before he even was at the door, tsk tsk, bad wolfie.
Worst parent lifetime award goes to the Mickens, hands down,  (on the show not in RL).
Gran popping into the emporium was a nice surprise, though Sookie sure didn't listen to her warning about loving the vampire. Maybe because of it being temporary is why Sookie went for it, hmmm.
I like King Bill, he is like a whole new character and doesn't everybody love a sharp dressed man?
I hope Terry and Arlene have fresh batteries in the smoke detectors, that dolly is a bad seed (a Barbie would never do that).

Inside the Episode"I think the real interesting themes of this episode are people fighting their true nature." Writer Mark Hudis and director Daniel Minahan go inside last night's True Blood®

That granpa looks like he stepped off the set of Sons of Anarchy to me, which is cool as Kevin was on the show till he got shanked. Little Jesus sure didn't protest much about hacking up his new pet,  that Abuelo just ain't right, Sucio!.
Next week-

Perfect, that greasy packmaster and Debbie Pelt!
Best line of course goes to Miss Pamela-
"You fuck with my face, it's time to die."
Add the hair to that and it's one of  my lines.
"Gators love marshmallows, you should know that."
I should and now I do, thank you Sam!

So ol' Lettie Mae got hitched to the Rev that she was doing the nasty with and she is crazy as ever but sober at least. I hope Hoyt gets some happiness because that guy sure got the short end of the stick in that department, starting with Maxine as a mom (tho compared to Melinda Mickens, Maxine is June Cleaver).
I think they stole the Vamp Priest look from Stargate's Ori, when Skarsgard Fans had the screencap last week I laughed. I wasn't laughing when I saw that Holly again, why is she still on the show? Obligatory Holly must go speech.

Remember Godric was like this before his epiphany at Newlin's church, another good use of an old character.

I see Barbara has mucho screencaps up already HERE
I notice Eric tricked out that hidey hole with lights that come on the second he moves, motion detectors, but if he had used "The Clapper" it would be better. I wonder what books he has on his nightstand?

More from SDCC, I'm sure we'll keep finding bits for a while to post. From G4TV

more spoilery description from TVFanatic
On this episode of True Blood...
- Tommy kills his mother and Joe Lee in (mostly) self-defense. He then turns to Sam for help in disposing with the bodies. As he does so, Sam opens up to Tommy and tells him he's killed before.
- Alcide gets a visit from the Shreveport pack master who is VERY upset that he hasn't registered his presence in the area yet.
- Jason starts to have fantasies about Jessica. Awkward!
- Arlene and Terry hire a pastor to come over and work some religious magic to cure their home and their baby of any curse Renee may have left behind.
- Tara learns Eric is staying with Sookie and tells them both to fuck off. She lists all of Eric's bad deeds as she does so, which later makes him despondent. He tries to leave, but Sookie asks him to stay and THEY KISS!
- Bill convenes his sheriffs and we learn that a witch was burned by vampire priests in the 16th century. She's the one now taking over Marlene, but what can they do about it? If a vampire hurts a human, he or she will suffer the "true death." Pam, desperate to fix her rotting face, then accidentally lets Bill in on a secret: Eric has been staying with Sookie.

Mysteries of True Blood Revealed at Comic-Con

By Steve Marzolf

Ever since Bon Temps fangbangers started winding up dead in Season 1 of ‘True Blood,’ the story has been rocketed forward by a string of mysteries. So naturally when the cast appeared with exec-producer Alan Ball at a Comic-Con panel Friday evening, the moderator, Entertainment Weekly’s senior writer Tim Stack, came looking for answers. The panel members did their best to oblige.

The Case of Eric’s Warm-Ups

No one was complaining when Eric Northman showed up on the roadside shirtless and childlike. But Alexander Skarsgard did raise one nagging question: How did Eric find a sweat suit at Sookie’s house that could fit a Viking vampire? Sookie’s brother Jason is many things, but 6’4” is not one of them. “It might be Hoyt’s,” Skarsgard ventured. “Something he’d forgotten at Sookie’s house. That’s kind of what we figured.” Alan Ball, however, decided this was one burning query he could put to rest.
“I believe that if you took the Latin of the spell that was cast on Eric and were to translate it,” Ball explained, “there would be a part that said, ‘And by the way, you will lose your shirt, and then you will find a really dorky outfit that you will wear for several episodes in a row … and still be insanely hot in.’”
The Magic of Pam’s Facial Peel
The actors on this show are no strangers to wild visual effects. But when the witch Marnie cast a spell that left Kristin Bauer van Straten ripping off a hunk of her own face, it definitely set a high-water mark for cringe-inducing gore.
“We worked really hard to make you squeamish,” she said. “But doing it is a very technical many-hour experience. It starts with being encased in plaster and making a cast of my head. Then a nine-hour makeup test. There was a little hole with tapioca pudding and coffee grounds that I had to find. The direction I had was: ‘Kristin, find the hole and push up.’ And I thought, ‘Only on “True Blood” is that going to be the only direction I get in a scene.’ I’m happy to hear that it was very gross.”
Clues to a Shower Scene
A growing subset of book-reading fans – the same people who casually toss around terms like “Sooric” – have been dying to know whether a certain famous shower scene will make its way into Season 4. In typical form, Alan Ball addressed the issue by providing a half-answer that raises even more questions. “There will be a moment in the show when Sookie and Eric are together in a shower,” he said. “It may not exactly be what happens in the books. It may be weirder … and dirtier. Maybe.”

Best (and Strangest) Fan Requests for the True Blood Cast

By Steve Marzolf
The world hasn’t heard this many screams from ladies wearing Merlotte’s T-shirts since Sookie introduced Rene Lenier to the business end of a shovel in the Bon Temps cemetery. The crowds at Comic-Con went berserk when the ‘True Blood’ gang appeared anywhere, and when the fans got their chance to stand at the microphone, they weren’t shy about making a few requests – some were touching, others funny, and then there was the straight-up weird. A few highlights:

  •  “First things first,” a young woman began to ask Nelsan Ellis, “Can you call me ‘hooker’ real quick?” The actor granted her request, and though this may seem like an odd wish, it apparently happens all the time. Later in the evening, Ellis explained, “A girl at a panel yesterday asked me the same thing. I guess everybody loves to be called ‘hooker.’”
  •  A man stood up, recording video, and asked the group to send a video message to his friend serving in Afghanistan as an Air Force sergeant. Alan Ball jumped in, speaking to the camera, “Lisa, please come home safe. Keep your eyes and ears peeled for vampires … and get home safe.”
  •  Another girl aimed her camera directly at Alexander Skarsgard, explaining simply, “I need Alex on video.” She went on to ask him why Eric’s voice has gotten higher since Season 1 – was it because he was becoming more human? “Wait, are you filming me now?” the actor asked, gamely producing a rakish grin for her. So the fan got her video, but Skarsgard admitted to being stumped on the question. “I don’t know. But I like your interpretation, so I’m gonna go with that,” he said. “I was more of a robot in the beginning, and now I’m getting more human.”
  • Another guy asked Ball to please stop killing every attractive waitress who gets hired at Merlotte’s. “Are we ever going to get a hot waitress with some staying power,” he asked, “for the male fans?” The exec-producer gestured to Anna Paquin, incredulous, and asked, “What about Sookie? She takes her clothes off all the time! Though I do think that working at Merlotte’s as a waitress is probably the most dangerous job in the world. So, there’s a lot of turnover, so you’ll definitely get to see some new waitresses. Whether they survive – or get naked – I guess we’ll have to see.
