Authority Always Wins

JUNE 17, E2, “Authority Always Wins”
At the Vampire Authority headquarters in New Orleans, Bill and Eric meet Salome (Valentina Cervi) and become acquainted with the Authority’s interrogation techniques. Pam (Kristin Bauer van Straten) recalls her human life as the madam of the Comstock Brothel in San Francisco, and her first encounter with Eric. Werewolves J.D. (Louis Herthum) and Rikki (Kelly Overton) pay tribute to Marcus, but Alcide refuses to participate or take his rightful place as the new packmaster. Martha Bozeman (Dale Dickey) shows up wanting to see her granddaughter, causing conflict for Sam and Luna (Janina Gavankar). Fearing Russell’s return, Sookie procures a home-protection system; Arlene (Carrie Preston) tries to get to the bottom of Terry’s erratic behavior; Steve Newlin stops by with an offer for Jessica; and Jason feels the brunt of his womanizing ways.

Tommy Lightfoot Garrett has a synopsis up for the new episode and this bit-One of the two most highly anticipated returns this year is Reverend Steve Newlin, played amazingly by actor Michael McMillan. But did you know, he knew before all of the viewers, that Reverend Steve Newlin had a “thing” for hunky Jason Stackhouse?
Yep, Michael has said, “Shooting that was just fun,” McMillian told me over the phone this week. “Ryan [Kwanten] and I love working together. He’s an actor I can try anything with and vice versa. We spend most of our time trying to crack each other up, and then trying not to laugh as a result.” Speaking about his “gay” turn on “True Blood,” the actor said, “This is really something he’s been struggling with,” the star said. “We never really saw Steve’s inner life on Season 2. You were seeing the public figure and wondering what is going on with him. So it’s fun and kind of a relief as an actor to play a scene where his soul is coming out.”
Though we can’t believe half of what comes out of the baby vamp’s mouth, the portrayer and set-side sources say, the love, or lust he has for Jason Stackhouse is definitely genuine! Holy vampire! MORE

Steve ups his game tonight.       He must be referring to this

The Las Vegas Sun interviewed Sam Trammell while he is making an appearance at Planet Hollywood as mentioned yesterday.

“True Blood” studs have overrun Las Vegas. Last weekend, it was Joe Manganiello and today it’s Sam Trammell, the complicated super-
shifter Sam Merlotte, hosting at Gallery Nightclub in Planet Hollywood.
Don Chareunsy: What’s in store for Sam Merlotte in Season 5 of “True Blood”?
Sam Trammell: It’s a very dangerous year for Sam. He’s got werewolves after him, and this complicates his relationship with Luna. And there are others. Many ups and downs and twists and turns -- and plenty of shifting.
D.C.: How are you most like your character? Least like him?
S.M.: I’m a fairly private person, like Sam Merlotte. I’m from Louisiana, as well. Of course, I can’t shift into animals, at least not that I know of.
DC.: If you could be another character on “True Blood,” who would it be and why?
S.M.: I’d be Andy Bellefleur. I think Chris Bauer is an amazing actor, and his character always makes me laugh.
D.C.: You seem to host Las Vegas nightclub events at least once a year. What do you like to do when you’re in Las Vegas?S.M.: I always see a show and have dinner at a nice place and stay out very late. I’m not a huge gambler, but I love to play poker.
D.C.: If you could shift into anything, what would it be?
S.M.: Given the traffic here today (in L.A.), I’d have to say a bird.

We'll see The Authority members wearing their insignia pins soon.
Rollingstone has their best of True Blood posted-Five seasons later, the great thing about True Blood remains the show's ability to combine campy fun, social commentary and a who's who of the supernatural world into one deliciously good time. The best moments are the ones that combine all three elements – from meeting Eric Northman to Tara's entrance in Season Five. Here's to the best ofTrue Blood.
